    A career as a signaller

Hi all, random question I noticed last night whilst looking at my myconnect that I have an application open for a role in traffic management! I completely forgot about It. Anyone based at three bridges roc or asc who has heard anything? I'm assuming it's not going to happen as it's been that...

I've had that same letter. I rang HR they explained to me that I was the RESERVE CANDIDATE if said person doesn't take the role for any reason you will be offered it. 10 weeks after being told I was the reserve candidate I was offered the role. So it can happen. Keep going your nearly there and...

I was told in regards to lancing the extra staff is to add meal relief into the shift. No plans for 12hrs. The 8hr shift is pretty brutal and it was shared a few months back.

What I was told by HR in regards to the tests, mind you that was close to 2 years ago! Each test has a max score of 80 and you need at least 31 to pass. You need to pass all 3. You can get 80 on 2 tests but 30 on the other and it will go down as a fail!

In my personal experience I've had the hiring manager call me to verbally offer me the role. Then HR would send the relevant email and update the status online. I was the reserve candidate for one role and 10 weeks later HR rang me to offer me the role. I turned it down as I had already...

A lot of people have failed the three tests. I for one did and had to wait six months to retake. The 70 questions and your CV doesn't mean anything if you fail the test. If you fail any of the three tests your application will never go any further. Your CV and 70 questions only come into play...

Hi all, Is there anyone here who currently works at lancing signal box or who has previously worked there in the last few months who wouldn't mind privately messaging me? Reason I ask is I have an interview for lancing next week and due to holiday and my shift pattern plus being 4hrs away...

We are just a number buddy. If you dont accept a role someone else will. I've had 2 internal interviews for signaller positions and both times I've been the reserve candidate. There is always someone who will step up.

Its completely random. 2 friends of mine from signalling school both applied for separate jobs. 1 heard back within a week of his interview letting him know he had the job. The other waited 4 months! To be offered the job.

I dont think TBROC has a grade 5 panel Grade 6 - Eastbourne and Lewis (when it comes up!) Grade 8&9 - around London not sure what parts Grade 10 - SSM That's what I'm lead to believe. I'm sure there is someone here from the ROC that can confirm. Like Tom Quinne said DO NOT MENTION SIMSIG...

Hi guys. Lancing SB is on the internal job vacancy. But so is a crossing keeper grade 2. I've searched this forum and there is a little bit about lancing but it's a few years old and I'm not sure if anything has changed. Am I right In thinking 2 signallers both on a separate grade 5 panel? Do...
