Yeah, fingers crossed! Sounds fairly promising though. You mentioned the January courses are planned but not confirmed. Out of interest, was it HR who said this and when? Just because they seemed pretty sure the course commencing 16th Jan was a sure thing and I'll be needing to hand my notice in...
Thanks everyone for your replies. This forum is ridiculously useful!
I still have a medical to pass but almost there...
Thank you again for the information provided :-)
Quick question for any Northern trainee train drivers in the know:
I am of the understanding that during the initial 16 week classroom training you are allocated one set week's holiday if you have passed all relevant assessments. My question is, once you are out with your instructor, do you...
Early 2017 would be cracking! I spoke to HR last week but didn't get much info as the lady dealing with the Darlington positions was in a meeting. However... I did mention to the chap that I was aware interview success was valid for 9 months and he said in some cases yes, but others no, and that...

Hoping they start allocating the remaining 'on hold' Darlington candidates at the beginning of the year though as our interviews expire...
When did you have your interview? Mine was June. I'm assuming they go 9 months from your DMI date but could be wrong.
Hopefully we'll be assigned to a course very early next year!
Hi Steve. I'd agree with the others... doubt your GCSE's will count for much when applying. I know many companies like at the least C's or above in Maths, English and Science but not sure this is the case for TOC's. If you didn't get past the application form stage, why not focus on improving...
