    oovee class 144

It's fairly easy to fix, you just need paint or similar image editor. All you need to do is open the image files in the 144's folder and change the blue areas that should be transparent from whatever colour they currently are to specifically pure blue ie. 0,0,255 save it and then it'll work.

    BVE5

I had to download the latest updates to DirectX, from Microsoft's website before it would work for me.

    What's up with the display?

Don't know about 9xxx series, not seen any reported problems but that could be just because nobody has got one yet. As for if BVE can run on any of these series of cards with out problems. All I can say is that no one has posted on any of the TSC threads about them to say, they haven't had...

    What's up with the display?

It's not just Vista really, it's the newer graphics cards themselves that cause BVE problems.

    What's up with the display?

Yeah it's your graphics cards that are the problem here. Unfortunately it appears that BVE is largely incompatible with nividia 8XXX series cards and ATI 2xxx and 3xxx series cards. See these threads over on TSC for more info...

    Code Discussion

Well I think it's time to: MOV Ax, to bed and defiantly time to PUSH [BX+SI], to sleep. Apologies for the rubbish assembler but it's time for bed. C/C++ is good though, never tried Pascal, Java or C#, etc would look like gibberish to me still better than LISP no doubt!

How to run BVE4 under Windows Vista x86 and x64 and Windows 7

It's your gfx card that is incompatible with BVE I'm afraid for more information see this thread over on TSC about the issues with newer gfx cards.

    BVE 4 and OSX???

Basically what you want is effectively impossible as BVE is closed source. In order to make it work on OSX with out an emulator would require the original source code to be ported and recompiled for OSX. The only person who has access to the source code I believe is Mackoy. So he would have to...

Hi Brain, Try reading the BVE 4 FAQ as shown in thisthread to see if it help any.

    BVE Error.

looks like it could be a .net problem so I would try to reinstall/repair .net framework then try to repair/reinstall BVE. I don't know this will work but has to be worth a try.

BVE Folder Structure Diagram- Development Thread

Yeah Michael, thats a good idea may be the thread could be developed into an FAQ for new BVE users. with how do I ... things like install trains, new routes, and change the train a route uses etc.

BVE is broken on my computer

Looks like its some kind of error with directX. Don't know what to suggest as a cure, you could try reinstalling BVE.

Some (install?) problems with BVE 4

Hi Reini, This problem is due to windows' regional setting being set to European decimal separator (comma) rather than the English decimal point (full stop). See this thread on trainsimcentral for details of how to fix this.
