I've done 1st stage assessments, with 6 years railway experience. Thought I had a decent application but unfortunately didn't make the sift! I think a lot it comes down to sheer luck at this stage. I'd go as far to say it's the hardest part! Oh well, onwards and upwards.
1. From memory I think roughly 4/5 expect a few paragraphs for the questions.
2. Yeh, you can go back and forth. No time limit.
3. Yeah, you can. But just be sure to check the formatting when you do.
4. Some are max 200, some are 300-500. You are explained this on each question.
Same here, just got my thanks but no thanks email. Have half my psychometrics done and currently work on the railway. But oh well, always be other opportunities!
Ahhh, usually it will go to "application in process" or "end of process" next. All you can do is just wait for now, these things take time! It seems to be a good few months between each stage.
Had an application still in process since September, these things are notorious for taking a long time. Just have to be patient until they get in touch, which they will eventually.
Im in the same boat, except I applied in September. I gave them a ring couple months back and they just said if it is still in the process, you will be considered. Just gotta have a lot of patience in this game.
Yeah, I've had an application in for driver at Manchester since September that states "application in process" still. When I rang a few months back they basically said if you're still in the process you will be considered and you don't need to reapply. Just a waiting game as per.
I can't see how a change of the franchise would impact 'frontline' staff requirements. Other than a new uniform and contract. Usually it's more the upper management that is shaken up in these situations from my experience.
I have also gotten an email for a mini scaatt test via the OPC. May sound daft but does anyone know if these tests are linked with any train driving assessments taken? Or is this a completely separate thing via the OPC? No 2 lives rule etc Last time I sat with Metrolink it was all in house...
When I applied last night, I did the situational judgement test then received a link minutes after to do the next one. Just shows both as completed now, haven't heard anything else as of yet.
