I enjoyed the programme but was wondering why the train stopped in the middle of nowhere and the driver checked his phone then carried on. It didn't appear to be a passing loop.
A new sign has appeared overnight on the ECML, which my house overlooks. Its a black and white diamond shape with The black diamonds vertical and white horizontal. The sign is not meant for drivers as it is facing the line. Can someone please tell me what it means.
Sorry I didn't make it clear the trespass pictures are not from today.It was the fact that Amble is nowhere near the York to Newcastle route I was referring to.
BBC Local news is showing helicopter pictures of trespassers on the line taken during Flying Scotsmans run between York and Newcastle.It goes on to say the pictures were taken near to Amble.That is some camera on board that helicopter!
