Rovers and Rangers you’d like to see exist or changed

Have there been any new Rangers or Rovers in the past few years or are the ones we have the ones we have almost always had. Just wondering what the chances are of new ones appearing at some stage. Asking now that i am going to be free soon and want to use some of these.

    London Overground Spotting Trip

Thanks for your replies and information, and concur that a paper travelcard will be best and luckily the day one has been continued so I will be ok when i finally get a chance to visit London

    London Overground Spotting Trip

Hopefully not off topic as it may help someone and will definately help me. Are you allowed to tap out and then straight back in again, literally seconds after tapping out and will this then reset the 1.5 or 2 hours you have before having to tap out again. Hope that makes sense

    Hornby DCC Bluetooth decoders

I have been looking at converting my OO gauge DCC trains to the Hornby bluetooth decoders, but sometime ago i saw a video on youtube from Sam's Trains that the decoders did not fit some of the OO gauge models despite being designed for TT gauge. Can anyone tell me if this problem still occurs...

Really like how easy it is to view, great work and one i will use when out an about as it connects to RTT and shows the numbers. Thanks

What Ticket should I buy in London. One day travel card or use PAYG Oyster/bank card.

Thanks Kieron and Island, i feel much more confident about what i can do when i go and what ticket to buy, you are right about zones 1 - 4, i may decide to have a single day when i might venture further but looking at the map, most (if not all) will be within zones 1 - 4.

What Ticket should I buy in London. One day travel card or use PAYG Oyster/bank card.

This will be my first trip to do this type of journeying around London rail system and the plan is to go during May. Hopefully with more time on my hands i will also be able to go a couple of more times before winter. I guess if paper tickets are phased out there will be an e-version that will...

What Ticket should I buy in London. One day travel card or use PAYG Oyster/bank card.

I am being very cautious as my plan is to stay all day in the rail system and know i will hit the cap easily, but dont want to break the rules by missing a tap out or tapping out at a station to end my journey and then tap straight back in to stay on the station for an hour and then find i tap...

What Ticket should I buy in London. One day travel card or use PAYG Oyster/bank card.

Thanks for that, i have been going back and forward with my answer for the past couple of weeks, it was the hanging about on stations that was the issue. Good to have other people's opinions.

What Ticket should I buy in London. One day travel card or use PAYG Oyster/bank card.

I am looking to visit London with the aim to travel around the area on the train over a 3 or 4 day period which will be weekdays. I really want to travel on the Underground, Overground, Thameslink, Elizabeth Line all in Zones 1 – 6 as I think that would be as far as I would travel out of...

    Northern Oyster (s)

An excellent idea, and maybe the zones could be simply Manchester (Lancs), Preston (NW), Leeds (WY), Doncaster/Sheffield (SY), Hull (EY). one charge for one zone and two for two etc. just tapping in and out would make life so simple and may add more people to the trains which we all want.

Refund if train is delayed and I choose not to travel?

Either way this is worrying, I know in the past i have been refused Delay repay and whilst thought i did have a claim accepted the TOC's decision. In my case it has been trains cancelled which were advance booked the day before and yet it was removed from the schedule on the day i was due to...

Refund if train is delayed and I choose not to travel?

One question i have is that they refused you a refund until you pointed out the T&Cs, does that mean the company did not know there own terms and conditions of the ticket or were they hoping you didn't know the T&Cs and that you would accept their incorrect decision and leave it at that, if so...

TfL single fares and caps changes from March 2023

I know any increase is bad news but looking as an outsider (outside of London) this still looks like excellent value, when I consider my travel from my home town to Doncaster is £9.00 for a one trip return (30 min journey) and when i had a client in Sheffield and had to travel daily it was...

    Northern rejected cancelled train claim

Thank you for your reply and you are right, the journey is only valued at £8.90 and a thirty minute delay (the time of the next train which i had to take) will give only a portion of that and therefore people will not do anything other than moan but ultimately they get away with shoddy...
