    Books on Pakistan Railways?

Thanks. I hadn't thought of looking on YouTube. D'oh!

    Books on Pakistan Railways?

Thanks. I will check those out. At first glance they look either rare or expensive! In fact, there doesn't seem to be much media about Pakistani railways at all - books, magazine articles or DVDs etc. I guess that very few Western enthusiasts have visited Pakistan in recent years - as opposed to...

    Books on Pakistan Railways?

Does anyone know if there are any books on Pakistani Railways? I've had a trawl through amazon and other places and I can't really find anything. Obviously, there are plenty of books on Indian Railways, including before Partition, but I can't see any titles that specifically relate to Pakistan.

Nick Knowles' Amazing Railway Adventures Season 2

I enjoyed the latest episode on Romania (more about trains in this one!) but, according to my printed TV guide, the programme is not listed for this coming Friday - and, unless it gets moved to another slot, won't be for quite a few more weeks!

Nick Knowles' Amazing Railway Adventures Season 2

I enjoyed last night's episode due to my love of Italy and my fascination with volcanoes. However, I fully accept that it had very little to do with railways! It would be interesting to tot up all the train sequences and see what percentage of the overall programme that represented. Not very...

Nick Knowles' Amazing Railway Adventures Season 2

Yes, I'd noticed that. In fact, I believe the Morocco programme should have been the last episode of Season 1 but was never broadcast for some reason.

Nick Knowles' Amazing Railway Adventures Season 2

Oops! I didn't realise that Season 2 had started last Friday (22nd September). I'll have to watch Episode 1 on My5 or catch-up or something. Anyway, Episode 2 "Italy: The Volcano Express" this coming Friday (29th September) at 21.00 on Channel 5...

    Books on early German Railways?

Are there any English-language books on early German Railways, the period generally referred to (I believe) as 'Epoch I'? I've had a trawl through amazon etc. and can't really see anything - not in English anyway! I suppose I should also search by individual states e.g. Bavaria, Prussia etc. I...

Books on the Railways of Sicily?

Thanks for the replies - I will definitely check out the P.M. Kalla-Bishop book!

Books on the Railways of Sicily?

Are there any (good) books on the Railways of Sicily? All I can see is "Narrow Gauge Branch Lines: Sardinia and Sicily" (John Organ, Middleton Press). However, one of the reviews on amazon suggests that it's about 90% Sardinia with only the last few pages covering Sicily! I can't see anything...

Britain By Steam TV Show Announced.

Oops! I hadn't realised that this series started last night (Tuesday). I'll have to watch Episode #1 on Catch-up. Did anyone see it? Was it any good?

    Books on Metropolitan Railway Freight?

I've had a quick look on ebay and you're definitely right about September 2001. Not so sure about August (going by the cover, that is). I'll wait for your opinion on how good they are! Thanks.

    Books on Metropolitan Railway Freight?

I hadn't realised that there was quite so much goods traffic on the Metropolitan Railway (coal to the power station and gas works; milk from Aylesbury etc.) and wondered whether there were any books on the subject? There's plenty of general works on the Met but I can't see anything specifically...
