Yep been technically shown up, but the fact that half of Wisbech actual falls into Norfolk which still makes it March in another county lol
I know if I needed to get to London I wouldn’t be heading for March
one of the largest towns with no rail service (hence a new attempt to re-instate) is Wisbech (Cambs) but the closest station is either Kings Lynn or Downham Market (both Norfolk)
It is the theme and comments I heard her LNER colleagues make, she wouldn't come and make an appearance in the video and talk to Doug so relied upon her colleagues to deliver the message. So this is hypothesised feeling from watching it
The signaller was happy, the driver was happy but the TM wasn't playing ball, Doug went in hard with a phone call to LNER senior management, he's been massively mistreated by too many TOCs and won't accept anything but what the law dictates. Clearly his phone call followed by his hardball...
Hey, I have an advance ticket booked today, I know from keeping up with online feeds & X that my local line isn't running any services down it due to flooding, this has resulted in the last few days EMR just cancelling everything and putting nothing in replacement.
Today they've put on Rail...
I think it's evidenced that an outlet can charge the going high st price and still be profitable in a station, what tends to happen is if its the right price or a few pence off people will buy it and volume not % profit keeps the outlet afloat, if you know that your Whopper is £3+ over priced in...
Yep, that's quite a regular thing, I worked for a Foreign Currency Exchange at Eurotunnel, the exchange rates were abysmal, it wasn't the companies fault it was the turnover based rent (which was horrendous) charged by Eurotunnel that forced their hands, the same applies at Gatwick, Heathrow...

Has anyone made comment on the crazy signage at St Pancras too, does the Luton Airport Express (Corby Class 360s) really need to exist when so many Thameslink services exist
2013 Champions League Final was held at Wembley Borussia Dortmund vs Bayern Munich, I jumped on a train in Dover to St Pancras and immediately started to regret my decision making (initially), 100s of German fans of both clubs had just piled off the ferries and were on their way to Wembley
The...
The simple fix is to either find out via RealTimeTrains which platform your train is parked at and just get down to the train in advance, or my preference just incase for some crazy crazy reason they change sets because of a fault, I prepare by going up to the mezzanine with the restaurants...
The thing is a station like ECR has multiple services that go through there hourly, if for any reason one is late the next one would have almost arrived and will take you to the intended destination, its not turn up and go like LBG but its pretty damn close in peak.
The main issue I have at ECR...
This is the moment you need an off duty officer on board to cuff him or a couple of burly rugby players to sit on the idiot until such time he calms down.
It's that or like on an aircraft the service crew have cable ties to hand to cuff the fool to a seat (with help of course)
