  • Hi Mono, congratulations on passing the interview and assessments, they weren't difficult were they? You might see me at Guildford a lot, it seems to be happening more often recently (as I tend to get lots of overtime), you might even be sent to Haslemere during the evening dealing with my gates, or maybe not. You should have your offer for employment if you had your medical and then you should start not long after that. I know some GLD staff are sent to HSL during the evenings. If you want to know more, just ask me (in private please) and I'll gladly help.

Be aware, the training is roughly 3 weeks, I did mine in 2 weeks (as I was already trained therefore I didn't need retraining, even though I asked for it), but its full time.

Also, main gate at Guildford, by the booking hall, it gets busy during the peak time and you might be asked to do the exit by the footbridge which is LOT less busy during the peak, I've only ever done the main exit during peak time twice, once on my own.
