  • Oh OK, I do get a bit miffed as to why the company do not make it a litle easier and try to place candidates to the closest depot to them but then I suppose that could well be the first test, your commitment, well good luck in your final 2 weeks and I look forward to meeting yourself and the others on the 2nd.
Thats good as well on your end, I have 3 more shifts left to do starting Monday night but they are long ones, 12hr shifts 6-6 4 days on 4 days off, so where is it you live now then for you to get Guildford and just be within the 45 mins?
That's good to hear! At least it is all sorted now. And yes very excited now, just wrapping things up in my current job so been very hectic.
Hi, yes thank you very much I have had a couple of mad fast paced weeks with trying to find a room and doing it with enough time to enable me to be able to give my notice period to my current employer and get the contract signed, all in place now, have a room in Camberley which is about 43 mins from Wimbledon drive. How are things with yourself? getting excited?
Hi again new2this, how did you get on with finding accommodation? All set for the 2nd ?
Thats good, and yep defo - look forward to meeting you and the other trainees on the course. Good luck with finding accomadation!
WOW, my reason with getting Wimbledon was I sent off a speculative application after I completed the first tests with FGW, did not progress there but SWT give me a chance for which I am very gratefeful, so it was HR that put me down for there otherwise I would of chose Salisbury/Basingstoke, these both being much closer, to be honest with myself being in Swindon I would of had to have moved or part moved (rent a room) no matter where I was placed, am just happy to be finally in and getting started. It is good to have broken the ice and will look forward to meeting you and the others on day 1.
Im actually from west london, and originally applied for strawberry hill/waterloo - but guildford came up and its just within my 45 min travel time. It will be almost 18 months from start to receiving my offer. And yes, like yourself i cannot wait to get stuck in; going to be a long 10 weeks!
Thats good, is that where you are from, I am going there on Sunday to look at a couple of rooms as this looks like the best place to be based, what with having to go to Basingstoke and Wimbledon, it seems a good central location being 45 mins in either direction, I need to get the room sorted soon as SWT will not send out my contract until I can prove my addresse so all a bit fast paced right now!!
Looking forward to finally getting started though as it has been a long time coming, how long have you waited for?
I am based out of Wimbledon, Live in Swindon at the mo, in the process of looking for a room to rent as you have to live within 45 mins of the station, what is your depot?
