Crossrail - operating discussion and opening day 24th May

It will if they amend the SE/TL timetable for better connections. Gap is currently 4 minutes then 26.

    Usable contact in TfL

I last used my Travelcard on 17 March and phoned for a refund on 18 March. I was told it would be passed on to the refund department to calculate and it may take up to 10 working days. 1 April I still hadn't received anything and the card was still showing in my account so I phoned back and it...

Signal failure in the Croydon area (18/12)

London Bridge was exit only from the new corridor to the tube. Had to go in by Tooley Street and the main concourse was rammed. Said the Southern part was closed.

Changes to the Oyster card deposit in London

When I replaced mine they didn’t refund the deposit, they just transferred it to the new card. That was about 18 months ago. I am thinking of changing again when my travelcard expires to get back the credit I had to put on to get through the barrier at Gatwick but will never spend. Interested to...

SouthEastern & BTP crackdown on fare evasion.

Regularly see RPIs and police at Dartford when I come home in the evening. More often than not someone has “forgotten” to buy a ticket and the number of police, sometimes with dogs, suggests that’s not all they’re looking for.

    TFL Website Log On

I also managed to use the same password to get in and then immediately reset it on the site. I had no idea what was going on and thought my account may have been hacked and the password changed. Never received an email either, nor have I seen any information about this on the official TfL...

London Terminal arrival time restriction for services calling at multiple London Terminals

I may be missing something but why would anyone want a route plus High Speed from Dartford to Charing Cross? Oyster or contactless is only £7.60 peak or £4.40 off-peak one way.

Advice needed for commute Stourbridge Junction to London

Not directly related to trains but if your company is sending you to a temporary place of work they should be paying all your travel costs. If you have to leave the house before the first bus they should be paying your taxi.

Help me and my son's stupid mistake which blew up.

Indeed. Almost every day when I come through an RPI is in discussion with someone who didn’t realise the importance of something so trivial as a ticket.

Zone 1 to 6 with extension to Zone 8

You would still need to touch in if travelling outside the zones of your Travelcard otherwise you would be liable for a maximum fare or worse if you meet an RPI. If starting outside the Oyster zones you would just need a ticket to the boundary of the outer zone on your Travelcard and then you...

    Unpaid fare

Through Sainsbury’s from the drop-off car park perhaps? Still think you’d be pushing it to say you got to the barrier without passing one on the inside though

Zone 1 to 6 with extension to Zone 8

You don’t say where in zone 8 you want to go. If it is on a London bus route as many are, the bus journey will be covered by a zones 1-6 Travelcard even though are travelling outside both London and zone 6. Example Dartford.
