saw a thread in which a rail employee was saying, re yellow line on platform, "if you don't want to get shouted at, don't cross the line"! no one with any self respect is going to pay through the nose for that sort of treatment.
don't use the train at all any more, northern have stopped doing cheap day returns. probably time for me to leave the forum!

I remember sitting on a train in Sheffield (think EMR, but could have been MML) and being read my rights over the tannoy! it was legalese specifically designed to enable prosecution of people with the "wrong" ticket.

looking to drive down the M1 to a car park (and ride?) north London ish tomorrow (28th march 23) with a view to getting train / tube to arrive in south London 1 o clockish. all advice gratefully received.
the local MP, who has connections with the Fox Valley people, tried to get something off the ground a while ago. might have been a levelling up scheme, can't remember now. it didn't go anywhere, the whole thing was just Tories making a noise about spending money.
