The reason behind the low fares is that many people are traveling with an 50% discount card on ÖBB, which means that traveling on Westbahn cost the same like traveling on ÖBB with this discount card. Tickets for Westbahn are only obtainable online or directly in the train.
Colours are sometimes a question of taste....
There are only a few facing seats in the standard cars and yes they have no table. But as already written the other seats have very large fold down tables.
All seats are considered FIRST class, for half of the normal price of ÖBB. Westclub Class costs a bit more and you get the table seats and always the seat next to you vacant ! The whole train is supplied with free WIFI free of charge for all passengers
