    Unguarded florescent tubes

Surely worth guarding them even if just so that we don't steal the tubes to light our homes?

The third rail is on the six-foot side all the way from the station to its end, apart from through the crossover.

TPE Scotland/Bolton/Manchester. How to stop commuters boarding?

I wouldn't bet on a court sharing that view. I'm quite confident that the criminality in both scenarios is the same.

TPE Scotland/Bolton/Manchester. How to stop commuters boarding?

Why is this different to getting on at Bolton and being asked to buy a new ticket from Preston to Manchester? (let's ignore someone actually going to Preston, that's very clearly a different matter)

I don't understand your second paragraph at all. Using a Manchester to Bolton ticket on a Manchester to Bolton train, what offence do you propose is committed? How is this different to using a Bolton to Manchester ticket on a Bolton to Manchester train!?

    Micro-USB

It's largely disappearing in favour of USB-C, which is (among other benefits) considerably ergonomically superior

TPE Scotland/Bolton/Manchester. How to stop commuters boarding?

It was very very profitable for FGW: they had a long train full of people they could charge the anytime day single for the journey (>£100, +administrative fees if they don't pay), and then charge them again for a ticket home. I'm confident it's not about saving seats for those going further...

Train skipped stop unannounced - last train of night - what *should* have happened?

No Anyone needs to be able to stop the train immediately if it starts with someone trapped in the doors / leaning against the side / etc
