I find the comments of the electrification from the article a little bit suspect when they have been iffy for years about putting the wires up on the Forth Bridge, I can only assume they are saying this to make it sound more eco friendly rather than the very real prospect of having the diesel...
Either the Leven and St Andrews branches deserve a mention (incidentally closing on the same day as the Waverly Line though got nowhere near the coverage as that line did), though at least the former will be put to rest at long last while the later will have to wait a bit more longer.
