Good to know, thanks - as mentioned by other posters, probably too expensive for just short trips unfortunately.
That's a good point - I'll take a look at Interrail for the whole thing.
Guarda was on my list of places to stay for a few days, so good to know it's worth it.
That could be...
I'm planning a trip to the Lower Engadine in Southeast Switzerland at some point once travel is possible again, and was wondering if there's some sort of ticketing option for various short trips on the RHB during a week (e.g. Scuol-Lavin, Scuol-Zernez) - the idea being to get the train somewhere...
I need to travel from Piccadilly to Wilmslow, then a few days later from the Airport to Piccadilly. If I get a Manchester Stns to Wilmslow return, can I start the return journey at the Airport?
Is there platform capacity to leave three cars at Piccadilly and pick them up again on the way back to Cleethorpes? Or would the need to use the same platform on both journeys be too constraining?
Does anyone know how long the return portion of this ticket is valid for? Thanks in advance.

This must be a new low - Sunderland to King's Cross cancelled at York, onward road transport the only option!
The 1148 King's Cross to Hull was a Grand Central liveried 180 this morning, complete with Hull Trains antimacassars.
I know Grand Central have had some old FGW 180s delivered recently - have some been swapped with Hull Trains as well?
If it were on the same site as the previous Haxby station I'm not sure it's of any use for Clifton Moor. It's too far to walk from either, and the bus links are better from the city centre.
The only use for a station at Haxby would be people from Haxby going to the centre of York (which as...
Interesting you say that - I see it come through York almost every week and it's never more than half full. I do wonder if that's because advances seem to be much more expensive on that one than the trains up to half an hour later.
