I few years back got the train from Rishton to Prittlewell for the football and the guard passed the ticket with a puzzled luck. Later he came back to say he had to put it in as a journey to satisfy himself as to were it was.
On Saturday 11th November I am planning on using the rail replacement bus from Rishton to Preston at 06:24, is this likely to be reliable as later in the day the time keeping can be a bit hit and miss.
When they introduced the 2nd Blackburn to Manchester via Darwen a few years back it would have been nice if it could have gone to Piccadilly instead of Victoria.
I notice that Transdev Burnley are making changes to the Mainline and Witchway from September, including the late night ones. I wonder if they will be more reliable then last time.
With regards to Blackburn when the station was rebuilt there was no barriers so was moved upstairs from the main subway. The barriers are a very later addition. I personally have never had a problem being let through.
I had it a few weeks back when the 19:30 was cancel, which offers the last connection in Preston for local stations in East Lancaster. Luckily I was there just in time to catch the 18:30. Luckily as it turned out as a Manchester around the same time was late as well, as I can get back that way.
I have seen people on the early London services from Preston overcarried mainly to Wigan and Warrington given that the ones I normally use are the first couple off Glasgow.
Northern have come back and said no, but Virgin have asked for a picture of the vouchers cut up and they have confirmed that they have revived this and will send me a cheque once the restrictions are lifted.
I have some Rail travel voucher's due to expire soon but give the issues at the moment would I be able to get these extended. They are from Northern and Virgin before the change of operator.
