In the early 70s I went to secondary school in Sheffield from Chesterfield and travelled back on the Thames-Clyde. I have vivid memories of it arriving on platform 8 by the wall and being "tapped" by the wheel tapper, that's something you don't hear anymore.

I remember it well being on the news, it was horrific.

Last year it increased on the 5th of March so it's likely it will go up on the 3rd March but it may not.

When the 50s were named in the late 70s BR were expecting them to be called "Warships" but it was never going to happen with the enthusiasts, the 42s and 43s would always be the "Warships".

Chesterfield

This year they increased on the 5th of March but there was no increase in 2022 probably due to the economic climate. You are correct, previously they have increased in May. 1701945857 You're right, checking back there was no increase in 2021 or 2022.

Did you notice whether these TVMs sell them for travel in advance or just on the day of travel. If you bought a Cornwall Ranger for example by the time you got there half the day would be gone. Thanks.
