    Farringdon Cacophony

Was at Farringdon on last Wednesday when the Thameslink service had a delay due to a comms cord being pulled on a Brighton Service. After a while the staff on the Thameslink side started announcing the delay and giving reasons. At the same time tube side staff started on the script...

No working toilet on the train.

I bow to your knowledge of this matter but will blokes know which one to choose. Do trains hold these 2 options in a secret place? You will recall in the great freeze up / cock up at Lewisham a few years ago. Pass discharged due to no bogs due to no juice, as juice worked bogs, so again should...

No working toilet on the train.

This is now turning into a big problem. Lots of people don't have cast iron bladders, I don't. Have you ever wet yourself? I don't suppose you have? It ain't nice. humiliating, experience. The tax payer's, ie you me, subsidise these cretin companies to run a service, ie a working bog. Given the...

    TfL service 18 stopping issue

Just seen on BBC local news that TFL tells drivers not to to stop on the 18 if bus is loaded down stairs but not upstairs. It seems to be a problem on 18 only at a certain stop. TFL spokespeople seemed to endorse this. They were the TFL bus head of policy but did not give much confidence or...

    Failure to lower pantograph

Surely RAIB should take an interest. There is a pattern for some reason for these panto strikes due to crew error ( I think crews should be helped to avoid this by engineered means, it helps them in their jobs) and removes a hazard. which lead to massive disruption and in some cases passengers...

    Failure to lower pantograph

In view of the fact the drivers cannot be trusted to change over by themselves should there not be big flashing signs actually saying panto up, panto down. Or leaving terminal stations, have you got the right panto up.

Why do we use overhead lines in this country, given we experience windy weather conditions? Would third rail be better?

Third rail might be old tech but ole does have a problem especially when recovering pass which seems to be way down the priorities in these events. Tell RAIB the concerns re 3rd rail are noted but pass come 1st. The trains might not go as fast but 3rd rail gets you there. HS2 going at speed...
