First South West (Kernow & Buses of Somerset)

Sorry. I am being mischievous about a typo. More to the point, a single timetable book for TfC is an excellent idea, along with the £5 'go anywhere' ticket.

I confess I hadn't thought of 95/89. The problem is surely that it's rather high risk. After all there were many reports of the 95 and 93 failing to connect, but at least the 93 was hourly. Going via Newquay will certainly take longer but there are plenty of Truro connections when you get there...

All the timetables are there. On the opening page ignore Plan a Journey: instead click on the Route Timetables link. Put the name of the town you want (third box down) and press Submit. In fact the new ones are there with the date 04.09.22 in brackets. But I wouldn't use GoCornwall as a search...

It is a fair point. At least going to Newquay gives you a wide choice of frequent buses to Truro (five buses an hour in the day, I think). The other route would be 10 to Bodmin Parkway (twice an hour) and then train to Truro. The disadvantages of that are a higher price when compared with the...

Another one not yet mentioned is the separation of evening services on the 93. This is faster from Newquay to Truro because it now omits St Columb Major as has been said but also Indian Queens and Fraddon. In the evenings though there is a new 93E which includes Indian Queens and Fraddon (but...

But did many people from Bude go shopping in Truro, even when the 95 ran directly? Plymouth is almost an hour nearer to Bude on the 12. Have to confess I am not sure about Bude-Newquay either. If you want gorgeous coastline and beaches Bude is close to those anyway. I suppose the intermediate...

The 95/93 connection at St Columb Major plainly isn't working. From 4 September the 95 is extended to/from Newquay. That leaves passengers from Truro in the cold though. Other changes include the 21 and 25 swapping back to their previous routes through the Newquay suburbs (21 via St Columb Minor...

Errors indeed. Both Newquay town services (58,59) are still secret, and the admittedly elusive D1 is also absent -- along with Atlantic Coaster.

Both were shown on the blinds. Did the 305s serve two sites, perhaps?

New Newquay town service 99 on Traveline. Starts late July and runs six weeks. Transport for Cornwall. Daytime frequency 20min, evenings 30min. Serves Hendra Holiday Park and a new park and ride site. It is the first time that Newquay has had such a frequent service on one route since the late...

Quite agree. A great shame though. There will be some back-pedalling now, I suspect. Let's call them all Western National. That used to work reasonably well.

As a new contribution to the information highway, the TfC Twitter feed appears to be down tonight.

Indeed. The large map on display at Newquay bus station is the same as on the TfC website. Rather mysteriously it not only omits all FK routes but even the Newquay town services 58/59 -- which are TfC. Secret squirrel reigns. And it is costing all of us money.
