Yeah I mean to Aberystwyth, although I'm east of Machynlleth (Newtown ) so it doesn't matter really. That's very good to know about the hourly service not being reliant on 197s coming to the line - in that case like I say, I don't mind the 158s staying. Wouldn't be too surprised if they do stay...

Will they ever appear here on the Cambrian, and is the upgrade to a full hourly service dependent on them? I don't mind the 158s so I'm in no hurry for 197s themselves, but if we need 197s for the hourly service it'll be frustrating...

Oh, I thought they were completely gone now because of their problems, and they were muddling through with whatever they could find until the 197 rollout ends. Are the current Saturday 197 diagrams the same?

So let me get this right, I've got the Mark 4 diagrams from the 225 Group when I asked about those a while ago - so off peak, the 0944, 1346, & 1544 southbound from Shrewsbury are Mark 4, the 1053, 1251, & 1447 northbound are also Mark 4, those times mentioned above - 0913 and 1113 southbound...

Yeah I normally see the 10:24/5 at the platform when I go into Shrewsbury. It's always a 158 all the times I've seen it.

I think the train into Shrewsbury gets in at 10:18. I've certainly seen the 10:19 Crewe stopper there. So it's basically a half hourly service Shrewsbury - Chester then? That's useful (shame that can't be normal lol). I take it from what's said above all trains are 158 from Birmingham and 150...
