Carto Metro map v3.9 just released

Thanks for the update, and thanks generally for the site - it's really useful. Are there plans to include maps for any cities not currently covered?

    Parking on Pavements.

"Car owners should not block the footway preventing legitimate users proceeding down it." is not an anti-car agenda.

    Parking on Pavements.

No I'm not. I haven't said there shouldn't be cars, simply that the people who choose to own them need to take responsibility for their possessions and the impact that choice has on others. As opposed to the people who feel their human rights have been infringed if they have to park more than...

    Zwolle station (Netherlands)

I was in Groningen, and I was flying home on an evening flight from Schiphol so I decided to break my journey somewhere on the way to the airport (hence the question about luggage lockers). Zwolle looked as good as anywhere else - I think it was the largest place that the Groningen-Schiphol...

    Parking on Pavements.

Car owners should stop asking everyone else to solve the problem of where they are to legally and safely store their vehicles when they aren't using them. They should have thought of that before they chose to buy them.

    Zwolle station (Netherlands)

Thanks - it was this Monday that I went, and I just followed the excellent signage in the station to find them. Two observations from my visit: 1) Zwolle appears to be mostly closed on Monday. 2) That's a big old hole they're digging in front of the station isn't it?

Budget 2020 - Anything for Rail?

That's the status quo isn't it? The annual RPI+1% rise. An explicit announcement would be needed if this were no longer going to be the case.

Britain’s relationship with the EU post Brexit.

I'm sure there are all sorts of these EU organisations whose functions will need to be replicated, and I've seen very little information about what's being done to ensure continuity. What, for example, is going to take over the functions of the European Medicines Agency? I know that a reduction...

"Made up" suburbs in your town/city

Or even from the national rail station - Clapham Junction, Loughborough Junction. Also in London, are the marketers still trying to get people to call Holborn "Midtown", which will never happen?

    Zwolle station (Netherlands)

Does anybody know if there are any left luggage facilities at Zwolle station?

    Flybe Collapses

Yeah, the Virgin branded flight's gone from Expedia now. Just booked an AMS-LCY instead. Never had to register as a creditor before, let's see if I get a couple of quid in a couple of years.

    Flybe Collapses

I guess - although they don't seem to have an active Twitter account (@StobartAirRBLX hasn't tweeted since 2014) and I doubt there'll be anyone answering the phones right now. I think the best thing I can do at this point is go to bed - at worst, I guess I'll have to rebook the flight through...

    Flybe Collapses

To be honest, my concern at this point is more how I'll actually get home than the money I spent - I only paid £35 for the flight, so less than both the section 75 threshold and the excess on my insurance. Weirdly I've just done an Expedia search for flights, and the flight I'm booked on is now...

    Flybe Collapses

Well, this is less than ideal. I'm off to Groningen tomorrow on the train from London, and I've got a Flybe booking home on Monday.
