I believe the original plan was Nottingham to Bradford, but fast between Sheffield and Leeds. Northern Connect I think it was going to be part of.

Have they moved the train closer to the wall when they have lifted it, or has it ended so close to the wall when it derailed?

Wouldn't surprise me if the coupling on the train is damaged as well. Maybe that's is why the lights went out when the incident happened

When the bus depot where the problems are at the moment closed, plans were in place to make it a private/public car park but was withdraw to to issues found. So these issues have been known for a long time. Issues that they have chosen to ignore time and time again until it bit them on the arse.

Like I've said before, the place has had problems since the new bus station was opened. One of the reasons why the bus depot downstairs closed, apart from space is repairs that had been carried out due to flooding. The lower part of the Interchange isn't designed for the new construction on...

I sometimes can't understand Sheffield. I understand that the Spring Lane crossover was decommissioned, but why have they replaced the traffic lights at the cross over if its never going to operate?

Well the reason has finally been released, and apparently a load of concrete has fallen into the basement from the roof (the old bus depot). So we all know what's going to get pulled down along with the car park. Suppose you could say it's a coincidence...
