GWR planning Saturday Bristol - Oxford service Sept to Dec 2024

Leamington to Moor St is the issue generally. You have to do a bit of shuffling to divert the via Cov XC when that route is blocked, so if the Reading Newcastle eventually is able to be diverted it opens up a path.

RMT turns down Network Rail Pay Offer

Its a performance related bonus, if all the scorecards hit their targets (good luck with that ever happening), the full amount is paid out. I am assuming that RMT want that got rid off and the bonus amount just paid into salaries regardless of performance.

Oxford has the new down platform being built and also the opportunity to get the unit out the way as an ECS to the sidings.

Bicester and Leamington are appalling places to terminate at from the south, Banbury would have legs if it was ever considered.

XC trains behing heavily used by Wolverhampton to Birmingham commuters: how could this be resolved?

People naturally gravitate to the fastest trains, so the WMT are out as they are all shacks to International. People are going to for example bin the 0812 to New St when the 0827 or 0830 gets there shortly after it.

What is the point of Old Oak Common?

How would you do that? There is no connection to the WLL

Why are XC allowed to continue?

Struggled enough to get Bromsgrove Westerleigh to what it is now. Level crossings still causing the problems.

WCML Power Supply & Auto Transformer Upgrade

807s are more power hungry, also factor in that NR are now probably at a point where they don't want to get perilously close to the limits.

HS2 Construction Updates - Birmingham Area

Thats a permanent solution, it looks like the viaducts sit on the existing road.
