If you have time I would greatly appreciate any further insight you could give to me regarding what they are looking for in the initial interview as although my last attempt was 'ok' in my opinion, im sure it could have been a lot better to progress me to the next stage.
    Also, if you dont mind, what was your background in the company before you were accepted to be a driver and how are you finding the job now? I see the post is over a year old so driving must be second nature to you now. Thanks in advance for any advice you can spare.
    One more thing, the idea of a seminar to introduce and prepare interested potential drivers is a good idea, did you put anything like this into practice?

    My name is Chris, I have just read your post regarding your tips for applying to become a train driver and find it extremely helpful!
    I too currently work with National Express East Coast based at Bounds Green Depot. Nearly two years ago I applied for a trainee drivers position at Kings Cross and was asked to attend an interview, unfortuanately I was not accepted as a candidate at that time. However, I have learned that they have recently posted 12 new trainee drivers positions within the company. I shall be applying again for one of these positions...
