I’ve been in the talent pool at Oxford for nearly two years with zero movement, in fact they’re over for driver numbers currently at Oxford, we’ve been told to consider applying for other depots hence why I’ve applied for Bristol Parkway now
GWR will normally mention if it’s your location that rejects you, I know this from my previous driver application being withdrawn for PAD after the video interview stage (even though I am already based at PAD in my current TM role!)

I guess they may be doing everything the same day as I gather it’s only a small intake so presumably they have only invited a small number of applicants for assessment
I had my first day at GWR today and the other two guys who were at Paddington with me both said they started the application process well over a year ago!! So, it can vary MASSIVELY so it would seem!!
Many thanks for your replies everyone, so presumably your Oyster card once updated at a ticket office knows when to charge full price ie underground and when to charge 75 percent discounted ie Southern within London?
I know that non safeguarded staff don’t get discount on any underground services but am I right in saying that you can get priv discount added to your Oyster card for eligible routes, ie with Southern from Victoria to Thornton Heath?
