In 21 years of driving at Northern I’ve used it once. And that was in the first 5 years! It hasn’t been used since due to Network Rail’s reluctance to provide PILOT people.
With regards to the speed restriction I’m assuming your meaning the 20/40 TSR over the M62 at Castleton? As looking at the Weekly Operating Notices this morning there is no mention of any speed restriction over Todmorden viaduct - temporary (in the WON) or emergency (in the late notice case) at...
Depends which direction you’re travelling in. From the East you can turn back at Hebden Bridge or Todmorden. From the west you can turn back at Rochdale. The ground frame at Littleborough hasn’t been used in a long time and if I recall is no longer complete track wise.
The 2115 Hull to Halifax is formed of a 170 and a 158 (normally). The 170 is detached at Leeds and goes ECS to Neville Hill. Last night it was formed of 2 170’s , so occasionally a 170 does make it to Halifax.
Very rare we have any 155’s these days in West Yorkshire.

In our notice case at work it states all 12 4 car 331’s are heading west of the hill and 12 3 car 331’s are heading east. From December 23 timetable, Leeds to Doncaster will be 3 car 331’s until December 24. The plan is once Doncaster men are all trained on the 333’s, from December 24 these will...
For now (end of November) the Leeds to Doncaster will become 3 car 331. The plan being that Doncaster drivers are to be trained on the 333’s which will replace the 3 car 331’s. The 331’s eventually running round the triangle (with some 6 car workings) when the platform extension work has been...
