    Glasgow Subway new stock

The last new unit I was on, the driver was making manual announcements (as historically undertaken). The screen reverts to something like "Announcement in progress".

    Glasgow Subway new stock

There was a new unit in service last night around 21:00 on the inner circle. It was nice to see one out so late, although the white is beginning to already get a little filthy!

Interrail cabin reservation on GWR Night Riviera

Can you clarify EXACTLY what you are asking for? I'm wondering if there are issues with terminology in play here? Is it just your girlfriend travelling? If so, she should be asking for a room supplement as she already holds a ticket between Paddington and Par.

Aviemore to London BoJ overnight Stirling

Is it worth looking now? ScotRail have released advances until Fri, 26th July 2024.

European Rail Timetable business is for sale

It is great resource. I continue to buy the printed versions to support the business and I would like to see it continue, at least in electronic format, if not printed format. I think the move to the different printer was perhaps a bit of a challenge, the quality control isn't the same as...

    More Interrail validity silliness (Trenord)

Thanks for the information about the ODR process. I will keep that in mind for my trip this year.

    More Interrail validity silliness (Trenord)

Agreed. I had a poor experience with their support agents on a similar matter - even after escalating it. I was getting the feeling that they were making up things as they went. The cost of my time dealing with them started to outweigh the financial costs, therefore I just dropped it.

Ticket machines: Why has QWERTY been abandoned?

I hold SNCF's TVMs as some of the best out there and even with the AZERTY keyboard layout, I find that I am able to use this much quicker than ABCDEF format.

    Glasgow Subway new stock

Maybe I have just been unfortunate with timings. They've all been week days at very mixed times morning, afternoon and early evening. However, the news of them running from the start of service is good! I wonder if the increased number of units in the depot is causing issues with exterior...

    Glasgow Subway new stock

They don't seem to be in a rush to introduce these new units. Many of my trips recently have just been the older stock.

Interrail reservations on SNCF ticket machines

It would be great if anyone in France can test this, as a previous thread highlighted that it was not possible.

Scotrail Tickets Purchased, Not In App

Remember that Scotrail don't do eTickets, only mTickets, smart card or collection on departure. It would be useful if the OP could provide some more detail to allow us to help.

Rumour: Extremely Low Quota of Interrail tickets on Germany/France High-Speed Trains

That is such a shame. The SNCF ticket machines were actually excellent for making Interrail reservations. :-(

Scotrail Tickets Purchased, Not In App

Do you mean your return journey or a completely separate trip?

Rumour: Extremely Low Quota of Interrail tickets on Germany/France High-Speed Trains

Is anyone able to verify this? I've used the machines frequently and they worked well. This would be a huge disappointment if it was a new development.
