£55,525 is the basic salary with some hubs receiving travel allowance for booking on at multiple locations. 1472 annual hours contract which equates to a 30.66 hour week
Obviously it depends on the foc and which depot you are based at but in my situation there are very few weekends but quite a few nights which suits me better than 0230/0300 book ons and working every other weekend
I worked as a driver for a foc, went to a toc and have recently gone back. Driving freight is much better in my opinion, less weekend work and less very early starts. Pension not as good as at a toc but lifestyle is much better
The majority of the redundant drivers will be junior hands, with only 2-10 years service. Many are also former passenger drivers with low seniority at Dbc.
I would try Quattro plant mate, I don't think they have a time limit on when training costs need to be repayed. Not sure whether they've changed since becoming txm but when they were hydrex they were a pretty bad company to work for. Also I beleive txms training yard is in portishead and...
