I read up about this a while back and did managed to find some photos of this event taken by the same person:
LMS Garratt 47982 being banked by LNER U1 69999 and MR 0-10-0 58100 in circa 1950. The photos were in the Model Rail May 2017 Issue 234 Britains Best Climbs.
The Summer Saturday 10.35am Paddington to Penzance was hauled by a pair of Kings between Newton Abbot and Laira in the 1950s, the front King having come off the 10.30am Cornish Riviera. The Cornish Riviera ran non-stop through Plymouth so the King was exchanged for a pair of Halls at Newton...
There was a Brighton to Paignton service operated by South West Trains in the late 90s on weekends only. I'm not sure if it was summer only or it did operate all year.
The Carriage Working Notices (CWNs) from Winter 1946 shows all trains from Uxbridge Vine Street were through trains to Paddington all day (10 trains SX, 13 trains SO). Compared with the CWN for Winter 1961 it was mainly a DMU shuttle between Uxbridge and West Drayton with through trains to...
Sorry I don't but there is a VT timetable from that period here: https://dpsimulation.org.uk/virgin-trains-timetables.html
Plus one for TransPennine Express: https://dpsimulation.org.uk/transpennine-express-timetables.html
There doesn't appear to be one for Northern Rail, even on Wayback Machine...
A bit late for your time period but during the SWT era the CIGs and CEPs were interchangeable in their diagrams, either one could appear on their workings. They had separate diagramming for the outer suburban and another for the greyhound units. The VEPs had their own set of diagrams I believe...

Thanks both, this web does give a small info on the workings which do fall in line with what you have mentioned. I have seen images of 365s at Charing Cross and on the Bexleyheath line so interesting to see what they turned up on.

Does anyone have the full set of 365 diagrams when in service with Connex SE and later South Eastern Trains? I know they primarily served the Victoria to Ramsgate/Dover fasts via Chatham (1tph) but am unsure if they went on other mainline routes or even metro services. I recall reading that at...
Many thanks Fireless and BR111.
Another question is regarding signalling with a speed restriction displayed. Does this restriction apply until 'completing' a junction or a crossover or until the next signal?
For example, the track you are on is 120 km/h and the signal displays a 60 as you will...
Fascinating thread, I have a big interest in German/Deutsche railways and always love visiting there. My last visit there was Berlin a few years ago and was lucky to get 143s with rather ancient stock before they were replaced by the Talent 2s.
I have a question regarding stopping positions at...
