Hi everyone.
I don’t think I have any lives left if I’m honest as I’ve not passed the initial stages with a few TOCs within the last 6 years. Got to various stages with each TOC but mainly failed on the situational judgement tests if I remember correctly.
How can I be sure to check if I have...
Fair enough. I must say on the VSE where you do both exercises at the same time, be sure to prioritise the 1st exercise rather than the 2nd.
It does inform you on this before you start but it did slip my mind whilst doing it!
Also, would this count as one of my lives gone?
Well I’ve applied for Avanti, not really expecting to be successful with them due to my location (outside 1 hour) and how much more competitive it is compared to any other TOC. If that don’t work I’m just gonna have to stick to maintaining points and signals ha. And yes I believe I might have...
No worries, Nah I didn’t have to do that one I think.
I done the questionnaire where they ask you about where you live etc and then I got invited to do the VSE. You might be talking about the 2nd questionnaire some of the other applicants might have got.
I don’t understand why TOCs advertise vacancies for trainees, stick them in a talent pool after all the tests and then leave them there for years? So if you’re in a talent pool (Which I assume all TOCs use) you’re not really guaranteed a job?
The practice material was completely different to the actual test. I found the VSE pretty simple I feel I done well
(I hope) I can see how the duration of it could cause people to make errors. I wasn’t flawless but I didn’t make an worrying amount of mistakes.
I haven’t done it in the last 6 months to be honest. I’ve never applied to Chiltern before but i’ve just completed my VSE. I hope they’re lenient with the pass mark requirement because I did get a small amount incorrect.
