  • Hi Paul, Thanks for your response.

I am waiting for a response from the moderator as to why I dont have PM priviledges so we can chat. I did send you an email earlier with my email address as a suggestion for us to communicate but I guess this got deleted.
    Hi Paul

Just thought i'd send you a quick message re, your offer of some advice in applying for a trainee driver role. I have applied for one position so far a few months ago with 'First' and after about 7 weeks, they got back to me and said 'no thanks'. A few people have suggested that being in the aviation industry might help me a little but im taking nothing for granted knowing there is tough competition.
So, I just wanted to pick your brain really about the steps that you would take from this point to give myself the best chance of being accepted for a trainee driver role. Do you have any idea how difficult it is getting hired as a Conductor for eg? Would you suggest this is my best way forward from this point?

    Many thanks

    James
Hi there I was wondering if you could advise me what kind of numerical tests I could expect if I was successful in getting to TFL assesment day!? Many thanks! :)
    Morning mate,

Yesterday you made mention that Victoria is the best depot - when you get a mo', care to expand a little as to why?

Also, do you have any tips for the induction week? Any reading material I could check online in preparation?

    Cheers.
    Del
    Hi Vicpaul,

I have also been invited to attend an interview for Sleeper Host at Scotrail, Euston. Any information regarding the day, company or procedures would be appreciated.

    Many thanks.
cheers for that.Is the train crew run in the same way as my old days? we had a chief steward and each sca ran 2 coaches.1st was a doddle but 2 full standard coaches were hard work, tea or coffee served in a pot with a china cup to each pass.had to move your backside to make it work! im sure day lodges have changed as well, we used to stay in a b&b in edinburgh ( forget name), a b&b in aberdeen ( bon accord b&b) and the palace?? in ft william.inverness was over the river on the left ( may have been the palace!! getting old)great job, good company and sad to leave but wifes job offered her more ££. waiting to see if i can get an interview this time, job rarely comes up
hi vicpaul.what are the signing on times at euston for both trains? used to work on sleepers 20 odd years ago-looking to get back on them.
I was only there a short period this year as I got a drivers job with southern. Great number plenty of perks
