  • Hi mate, I see you got through the assessment and got the job, I too now have an assessment with them in Doncaster and was wondering if you had any advice? and also some information on how the day is?
You are more then welcome. Glad its all worked out. I think the next course is in August, I guess you will be on that one. I start May 6th, can't wait now, although all paperwork is done I am still waiting on joining instructions. It still has not sunk in that I got the job and I am really excited.

Good Luck with everything, never know we might meet up sometime down the road.
Passed interview and been offered the job waiting on a date for a medical now thanks so much for all your help with everything mate
Had my interview yesterday think it went well they told me I should hear back within a week, 14 applicant's for 3 jobs they told me can't wait to find out now
    Hi Mate,

I took my passport, NI proof and drivers license with me but it was not checked. I was surprised that I was not asked any questions about the company, however I was prepared. The guy who took my interview was "old school" if you get my meaning and I felt that he wanted to get to know me and make a judgment. However he did say that it was a formal structured interview and that he had to ask the same questions to all candidates.

The medical was nerve wracking for some reason, having worked as a conductor before I am used to medicals, but when I got there although i was relaxed when she took my blood pressure it was 167/110. The night before it was 124/80 which is normal. She took my pressure several times and it was coming down and she took the lowest reading which was high for me, but hey I passed.

Good luck with your interview, if you have anymore questions let me know
also did you take any documents with you to the interview, ie passport, NI card/number, driving licence, proof of qualifications etc thanks in advance
hey mate thanks for the reply, i have my interview on Tuesday 15th did they ask what you any questions about dbs? and how did the medical go? congratulations again i bet you are over the moon well done.
Thanks mate. I heard after two days that I got the job. I was really surprised to hear back so soon to be fair. In terms of questions asked it was 5 or 6 competancy based questions. Pretty much the same as the structured interview during the assessment process.

Examples of working alone, emergency situation, working shifts/ nights and keeping your concentration and how you maintain your concentration for long periods. It was really informal and I felt very comfortable throughout.

How is your application progressing. Hope it's going well
just seen your post from yesterday, congratulations mate, how long did you wait to hear iff you had passed after your interview
