They had been advertising for qualified drivers for some time now, i think the fact that its open access could be why they might be finding it hard to find the amount of drivers they need how ever many that might be.
Anyone have any idea as to what type of Assessment/s TPE does for a qualified driver position? i read in a previous post it was dots however that was back in 2012 so i am not to sure how accurate that info is anymore.

That would have been nice for me, however already with another Toc now. Kinda disappointed with GTR i applied for a trainee roll last year and got an email several months later saying i didn't make the cut on the first stage (c.v) during this time i had already joined a Toc and was a month into...
Get another DI all DI's teach in different ways, also have you asked your di to drive the route and commentate to you while your in the second seat so you can take notes/maps for your own reference and learning?
I had the thing happen to me "lack of evidence of excellent customer service"
Disappointed to say the least when I got my feedback but keep your chin up and apply to other tocs and mor again in 6 months.
