For first aid, its voluntary if you want to get trained up, you get an extra day off a year if you do so.
All shift managers have to be first aid and Defib trained so there is always somebody on the station who will be first aid trained, id say about half our CSA's are first aid trained and most incidents are slips, trips and falls, mainly involving alcohol and escalators but there have been times were defibs and serious incidents occur. Literally anything can happen in a train station it's impossible to predict!
