Wow can't believe it! Pray he's ok, someone's already mentioned it but hoping it isn't like Marc-Vivien Foe. Puts football to the back of your minds in this situation, get well soon Fabrice :(

Muamba has been admitted to intensive care at a heart attack specialist hospital in london according to a press release at 2130. It makes you think after hearing that a super fit 23 year old having a suspected heart attack. I'm 23 and i'd never imagine that i'd have a heart attack at this young.

Rumours of being stable have been rubbished (sorry, I couldn't think of a better word) by those dealing with him - ITV just paraphrased BWFC by saying he is 'critically ill' :(

They just read out the statement on MOTD saying he's critically ill. Speaking of MOTD I wonder why they scheduled an hour program for two games?

sadly having heard he wasnt breathing/ heart was stopped for quite a period, this will have likely starved his brain of oxygen, which almost certainly will leave damage to his brain. I do hope this is not the case.

When I first heard around 6-whatever (a few minutes after, as I heard on the radio while driving home) the Sky woman was asking if it was down to poor training, or the medical staff at the club not doing sufficient checks.

The amount of speculation early on by Sky News seemed despicable, especially given the fact that they'd said it was too early to speculate - but did so anyway.

My parents were at the game so once I knew they were coming home, I went over to them and listened from then on to Talk Sport which was much better. Just reporting facts and making it quite clear they'd only report news when it was given to them by official people. That rules out Twitter and the like.

That's another thing that bugged me a bit. Sky was showing Tweets (BBC too I think) from other footballers giving their best wishes. No problem in someone tweeting, but to show these on TV and pick out what they felt were the best? It almost suggests that if you weren't Tweeting and didn't get shown on TV, you didn't care.

I know that isn't the case, but I really hope people aren't now going to be forced to Tweet to avoid being accused of not caring about something.

The BBC did show some tweets, from Rooney, Rio Ferdinand. I really hope he makes full recovery, and I would pretty much think that's put an end to his career. He was well liked by fellow footballers and fans alike.

It seems he had some sort of heart attack from what I read.

My mum is a nurse practioner(if you havent heard of one she is basically a junior doctor...) in a CICU ward and has been a cardiac nurse for the last 25 years so these are quotes from what she has said this evening.

Brain can only last without oxygen for 4 minutes more like 3. Otherwise yours looking at srious brain damage. So he was without oxygen for like 20 mins or however long... however, CPR is techincally providing oxygen to the brain so therefore if CPR was administered correctly and quickly enough brain damage will be to a minimum.

Let's hope. Not a lot one can say when something like this happens, other than saying let's cross our fingers for the best.

The medics were on quick fortunately.

Sky really are a dreadful organisation

You mean the TV company owned by the same people as The Sun and formerly The News of the World? Unfortunately Sky are not as interested in confirming stories as they are broadcasting them first. Radio 5 Live were keen not to use any information other than what came from BWFC, THFC or the hospital.

....That's another thing that bugged me a bit. Sky was showing Tweets (BBC too I think) from other footballers giving their best wishes. I think the use of the tweets from other footballers and such, was to show the divide on the pitch was not present after that incident. I believe that is an important message to get across.

Did anyone see Everton v Sunderland on ITV yesterday ?

Neville Southall came onto the pitch in a clip they showed at half time - my God he was always "big boned" but now.......

He must be pushing 20 stone......

I believe "well timbered" was the expression used in the studio :p

Shocked to hear about Muamba. Having been in rugby mode all day, I hadn't realised what had happened.

Like every bit of mechanics, if you press the body beyond its capacity, it will break. "Super fitness" takes the body to its limits. I just hope that his employers were monitoring him properly. This should also be a warning to any "gym bunnies" intent on pushing themselves too far.
Prayers are with him and his family.

According to a BWFC statement at 1100 today (the last for a while apparently), Muamba remains in a bad way. As a result of Saturday's tragic occurrence, Bolton's game with Villa scheduled for Tuesday night has been postponed, rather understandably too.

Wolves 0 - 2 Man Utd

Wolves are down to ten men so the only question can really be how many?
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
0 -3 and it's not even half time.

0 -3 HT

Wolves losing is good for us. Especially good for the old man (West Brom fan). As has been mentioned our game has been postponed and goes without saying it's a correct decision. Thoughts still with Muamba

Second half underway in West London, and Chelsea are 2-0 up :(

Wolves last five matches.

Wolves 1 - 5 West Brom
Wolves 2 - 2 Newcastle
Wolves 0 - 2 Blackburn
Wolves 0 - 5 Fulham
Wolves 0 - 5 Manchester United (with 15 minutes to go)

Maybe it's time to start supporting a decent club ;)

That United team isn't even as strong as it could be...

If the second half is 0-1 I win five points in The Prediction League :p

...why do I doubt it'll be just the one?

If it stays as it is five points will be coming my way.

My fantasy team needs Rooney to score though

Afraid to say Wolves fans, there was only one way this game was gonna go when Zubar got sent off. I'd be seriously worried about going down now, in fact I think Wolves, QPR, and Wigan will go down and I'm backing Blackburn to find that fighting spirit and sat up

I'm pleased with our perfomance and that we didn't just sit there wth the 3, it could well come down to goal distance so I'm glad we pushed forward.
