For some reason unbeknown to myself, and not conveyed to me by Twitter, my account has been suspended. I have tried mailing them and asking why this has happened but I have received no response. In their own rules they say if you have been suspended for a breach of rules you will be informed by email. I have had no such mail so I can assume its not that. Very frustrating though as I was enjoying using Twitter

Are you in Twitter jail - have you twittered to much?

Seems very odd!

@chapeltom

Warning may contain bad language, excessive moaning, excessive useless information, tweets sent when under the influence of alcohol, sport and political views.

Well I have had an email back today and my account is to be restored during the next 24 hours but no reason given as to why I was suspended. So still none the wiser but at least I am getting my account back

You've been 'upgraded' from "Page does not exist" to "Account Suspended" :lol:

I still don't get this Twitter nonsense. Anyone care to explain why it's better now than it was a few months ago and thus worthwhile?

In my experience 90% is just that, nonsense. Of course a lot depends on who you follow. I can't say I've noticed any particular changes over the last few months. Either it's for you or it isn't.

Personally, I don't use the internet at all - I don't think it will catch on. :D

If nothing else - instant dissemination of information. Particularly in the railway niche of tweeters. There are quite a few people who are far more accessible on Twitter than they are anywhere else.

I've managed to directly p*** off Nigel Harris of Rail magazine, over Twitter. ;)

Sky Sports News seemingly 'obsessed' with Twitter, they're always on about it, morning, noon and night :roll: Each to their own though, I'll stick with Facebook then ;)

It's a cheap source of news I guess, have a couple of staff checking various accounts. Accuracy has never been a huge concern for Sky Sports ;)

Or any other Murdoch outlet (with the possible exceptions of The Times and The Sunday Times)...

Well this morning I was finally turned back on. No apology, no reason why. Twitters own help desk seems to be beyond useless. Oh well. Back to the twittering

With a very commendable background! Twitter should apologise by letting you sack a premiership manager of your choice <D

Thats where they get all their 'Lionel Messi has been seen boarding a plane to Manchester' news stories from on transfer deadline day.
