"DM has excelled itself in snide remarks about rail workers - David, Norfolk, 19/7/2012 5:06
Don't take it personally. Snide remarks are their speciality. They despise most people."

Given the terrible disservice done to the rail industry, maybe the blue Metro stands shouldn't be welcomed so much in stations?

Time the TOCs 'took a stand',

While I haven't read the comments, I can't see what the issue is with the article.

I'm sure there is some sort of financial incentive for TOCs to have the Metro free papers at stations. However I've always wondered if it offsets the obvious costs for cleaning a carriage full of them (probably not).

I would love that, you can't go anywhere without seeing the Metro or Evening Standard (Depending on the time of day) littered all over the inside of carriages. I know it's a freebie but its a bloody naff paper. :p
