I want to wait for the day Rafa brings the Europa Cup back to London and see the look on some Chelski fans' faces. :D

Will be priceless.

Brain Laws has announced the players leaving the club today. Josh Walker, Paul Reid, Damien Mozika, Akpo Sodje, Andy Barcham, Robbie Gibbons and Karl Hawley. Out of those, the only real surprise is Paul Reid, and perhaps Andy Barcham, as the others were nearly always injured, or were not that good.

One year options on the contracts of Niall Canavan, Mark Duffy and Callum Howe have been taken. Again, no surprises there.

New contracts have been offered to Jimmy Ryan, James Severn, Matt Godden, Eddie Nolan, Michael Collins and Tom Newey. The only surprise there (IMO) is Tom Newey, who I don't rate that highly.

Players still under contract for next season are Sam Slocombe, Christian Ribeiro, Callum Kennedy, David Mirfin, Mike Grella and Connor Jennings. Nothing to sat here really, apart from how much are Grella and Mirfin costing us a week?

I am surprised that Scunthorpe United have kept faith with Connor Jennings, after he was injured for quite a period of time after joining them from Stalybridge Celtic. Do you think that he will have anything to offer in one of the striking roles from what you saw so far ?

He has got a fair amount of potential, and I think given a chance in a decent League 2 team, he will do well. While he was on loan at Stockport in the season just finished, he knows where the back of the net is, as he scored 7 or 8 goals for them in 13 games.

Oh, and it's not a matter of Brian Laws keeping faith with him, it's that Alan Knill signed him on something like a 4 and half year contract, which has still got 3 years left on it.

But, Scunthorpe do have a bit of a problem looming. With Matt Godden being offered a new contract, Scunthorpe will have 2 strikers who are very similar to each other, and are the same age. He's another striker who knows where the back of the net is, as he showed last season, firstly with Gainsborough, then Ebbsfleet.

Not without cheating I can't.

He does look a good player, but he's been injured most of the time here at Scunthorpe. With the club struggling a bit financially thanks to Knill, we can't afford to keep him around. Same goes for Mozika.

How is he doing - worth keeping for another year? It is easy to keep tabs on Tom Taiwo and Aiden White who I was at school with but rarely see owt of Niall.

He's had a pretty good season to be fair. I think he'll be 1 of the first names on the team sheet next season (form/injuries permitting) and will be offered a new contact at somepoint.

Two demotions in a row, just who decided to sack "Big Mick" :p

Morgan is without doubt the worst chairman in football.
His biggest mistake among very many is sacking McCarthy far too late.

Eh.....are you having a laugh ....explain please <D

Should have gone at the end of the previous season when we stopped up on goal average.

McCarthy is a very very poor Premiership manager who just can't cut it at that level.

I can assure you that the season ticket holders that I know to a man wanted him gone long before he actually did.

Do you think he should have stayed once relegation to the Championship was obvious?

Looks like Hull are on their way back to The Premiership - perhaps Wolves should have conidered him although The Blues Connection aka Mcleish/Villa could have been dodgy

A goal for Leeds all but sees Hull promoted.

There's a good reason why the Championship is exciting for the neutral

The BBC clearly don't like the Championship though; not broadcasting Final Score? never mind, it is on 301

Thank God ....good old Stevie Bruce ..I was at St Andrews when Liverpool beat them 7-0 in the FA Cup a few years ago and his post match interview was a classic :p

Ah so I see. I swear it's only just come on though, to the point where my TV listing says Scrum V. Looks like Brighton will be playing Palace in the playoffs too, a local derby.

Full time at Vicarage Road sees Hull promoted

Apparently a little bit of simulation from Michael Brown of Leeds helped Try Deeney get sent off. How costly could that be for Watford?

Now all you need is a win at Carrow Road and/or The Baggies to do you a favour by thumping Wigan at The Hawthorns :p

It's been on since 1400 (I've been watching it) but for some reason is listed as Scrum V.

In other news, Gers sort of finished off in style today, a 1-0 victory over Berwick before lifting the trophy.

I'll take both thanks . A victory for the other team who play in claret and blue would help too.

At a minimum we need to better Wigan's result to maintain the five point gap

Talking of "staying" should Dean Saunders have stayed at Doncaster as they pass Wolves on their way up to The Championship.
