Hertford North is about 3/4 mile and a 15 minute walk if I'm feeling brisk.
Hertford East is about 1.3 miles and probably a 25 minute walk.

or a 2 minute drive if I'm feeling lazy ;)

Healing is my closest station, and as I live about 1/3 of a mile from it, I walk to it. Takes about 5 minutes, mostly flat, so an easy walk.

Alternatively, for better services, I'll either drive to Habrough (6 miles, 10 minutes) or get the bus to Grimsby Town (5 miles, 15 minutes), depending on the time of day/where i'm going etc.

Mine is Hampton Court, at roughly 10mins walk if walking quickly! :)

I'm quite lucky as I have Esher, Hersham and Walton-on-Thames all within 5-10mins drive from home if I need better connections!

Derby Friargate - 7 minute walk (0.4mi) but of no use as it was closed in the 1960s :p
Derby Midland - 35 minute walk (1.8mi) always useful to get to most places in the country :)

Berkhamsted - under 5 minutes to walk , or for Boxing Day - Chesham about 4miles or 1hr by bicycle ( several hills and am I not very fit ) .
I chose to live within easy walking distance of a station - and have never regreted my decision . As it happens due to the locations of my various jobs I have always driven to work but still use the train for almost all of my weekend travel .

Hereford for my main home, which is about two miles, with an hourly bus service (but none at all on Sundays <( ). I can walk it in about an hour if I have to, but generally have a lift if I'm not getting the bus.

When I'm at my Southport 'residence' it's just over one mile, so I either walk or occasionally get the (again hourly) bus if I have lots to carry, or the weather is bad.

Also Ashchurch for Tewkesbury - we catch the bus from the Town Centre which takes 8-10 minutes. There are 4 buses an hour.

At home: Gloucester - 20 minutes in the car, 30/35 on the bus.
At uni: Exeter St Davids. 1 minute walk.

Rail-wise, I'm sure you can tell where I'd rather be!

I live about 15 mins walk away from Redbridge (Hants) and 25/30 mins walk from Millbrook (Hants) but both only have an hourly train service so use Southampton Central which I have about 20 buses per hour to choose from to get to. :)

The only thing I remember about Seaton Carew earlier this year was the young couple in a car mid-getting jiggy with it until I rocked up in the late evening camera phone at the ready (not for them obviously ;) )

I'm quite lucky. My nearest station is St Helens Junction - it's less than 500 metres from my house (about a five minute walk).

I previously lived closer to Lea Green Station which was about a mile away from my house (a twenty minute walk). I think I'd feel quite put out if I lived 1 mile+ away from a train station now.

Hopton Heath - a 15 minute walk through the Shropshire countryside. :)

Though I often drive to Craven Arms (15 minutes drive; free parking) and take the train from there, as Hopton Heath has only 4 trains a day in either direction, and one direction takes me into "here be dragons" territory... ;)

Yea, beautiful area. I got off at Hopton Heath one day last year and walked up to Hopton Castle. Shame no pub around (unless I missed something) but I walked through Hopton Wood to Bucknell where there are a couple of decent watering holes.

Not far from me then!
