I see Leyton Orient are still have 100% record this season after they beat Notts County 5-1 last night, only Rangers in Scottish One division can match that are they still have 100% record but Rangers have only played 5 matches this season to where Orient have played 7 matches in League One this season.

Leyton Orient beat Brentford 2-0 last night mean they still have 100% record in League One this season, they have got Walsall at home on Saturday and if they beat them then they will come to our places with played 9 Won 9, I sure on 5th October Oldham will show League One how to beat Leyton Orient if Walsall don't beat them this Saturday.

We were outplayed by Spurs and I can't complain about the result. Time to focus on Man City () in the league

Celtic 0-1 Morton (AET) Scottish League Cup
At least it wasn't Inverness CT this time
Next Tuesday we play Barcelona at home, think we'll need to improve somewhat...

With Liverpool already registering a win in the league over Manchester United this season, the cup match at Old Trafford tonight should be keenly contested.

Also in the cup tonight Stephen Ireland has scored for Stoke against Tranmere and the mighty Leeds are losing 1-0 to Newcastle.

We've only scored 7 goals this season so not much hope of getting back into it. To be honest its a pathetic effort, another season of hopelessness

I know Newcastle are a premier league team with some quality players but we look so poor.

Pathetic performance to be honest.

Hearts and Queen of the South was 3-3 and is going to penalties.

Hearts win 4-2 on penalties to proceed into the next round

In a match that could well have repercussions, the FA Cup first qualifying round match between Sleaford Town and Huntingdon Town had to be abandoned by the referee following a mass brawl near the end of the game.

Today, it was announced that both Sleaford Town and Huntingdon Town have both been thrown out this seasons' FA Cup as a result of the disgraceful scenes that occured in that match.

AFC Sudbury have been given a walkover into the third qualifying round of the competition.

Suarez looked good. For some reason however Liverpool seemed to want to walk the ball into the net all the time rather then having a few shots.

Rooney looks like he's getting some form back as well

Women's World Cup qualifiers....

England 8...Turkey 0

Toni Duggan scored a hat-trick as England followed on their 6-0 defeat of Belarus with another strong performance. At half-time, with the score at 6-0, one wondered what might be the final score.

England now face Wales in the next group match.

Bloody hell. What can I say?! Fair play, we just weren't good enough, but today is not the only occasion of this so far. Results like Liverpool don't worry me, not to concerned about losing at City (although obviously we were very, very poor) but ones like today do.

Don't forget Fergie's early days somewhat mirrored the start Moyes is making.
Leaves you 12th in the league now.

Oldham lost 1-0 to Crawley today and next game not going to be easy for Oldham as we got Leyton Orient next Saturday but Orient 100% record ended today after they could only 1-1 draw against Walsall.

I was shocked to see both Manchester clubs lost today and Man Utd could found themselves in 15th places on Monday Night if Swansea, Stoke and Everton win there matches this weekend.

I see Stockport beat Brighouse Town 1-0, Ashton United beat AFC Fylde 1-0, Trafford beat Altrincham 2-1 in local derby and Curzon Ashton draw 0-0 to Lancaster City all in FA CUP Second Qualifying Round, it be nice if any of them with Curzon Ashton got to First Round of FA Cup and got home draw against Oldham.

Southampton are sitting 4th and looking a very organised outfit especially defensively. They have only conceded 2 goals this season, only Spurs can match this record. They just need a few more goals, maybe the surprise package of the season?

Looking at the bottom of the Premiership, there's quite a few clubs with 7 points or less, so it's not all doom & gloom for Manchester United, even though most of them have a game in hand over them. Still, they're too good to go down I think, but it's an interesting dogfight at the bottom of the table ;)

After the latest Hyde 3-0 away defeat today in the Skrill Conference Premiership, I am unfortunately starting to see them on the same level of football ability as Fort William in the Highland League...<(

Hyde FC
P12.. W0 D2 L10.. GD -21,, Pts 2

Fort William FC
P7.. W0 D1 L6.. GD -18.. Pts 1 (This is the latest table I could find)

Sheff Utd fans must hope that Weir get sacked soon as they lost 2-0 to Wolves today and it mean that Sheff Utd are bottom of League One and only won once this season and that was start of season, I wonder if Sheff Utd will be in relegated battle come April then promotion battle?

Should have been 2-0 at Shawe View. James Walshaw's Penalty for Altrincham was a blatant dive - there was nobody within 6 yards of the player fouled (Kyle Perry), and that would have looked flattering to Alty. For some inexplicable reason, we always get the seven shades knocked out of us there.

Does this vindicate the Southampton Boards decision to get rid of the current Reading Manager, and are the supporters hypocritically now agreeing with the course of action taken due to their current success:p

Depends whether their run is sustainable long term.

To think the number of people in the media and social networking ridiculed Wanyama when he said he joined as he thought they could get to Champions League. From what I have seen from them so far he may well be right.
Southampton has always produced good talent but in recent times had to sell due to their financial difficulties. They are now able to keep their youth without the need to sell the top figures. I might go as far as saying their academy is one of the best in the country. Bale, Walcott, Oxlade-Chamberlain amongst others.

Is it Moyes, or is it too many players in the squad thinking they can coast? You could say it's a manager's job to stop that, but it is very difficult if the players decide they are above the manager (see Chelsea, or Ipswich when Robson started).

That's a daft question.

Football fans are fickle, but let's not talk too soon. A long way to go yet. ;)

In mourning tonight, can't believe that Nigel Clough has been sacked. And whats worse, we're being linked with Tony Pulis! I can't see myself doing a 280 mile round trip on a Tuesday night to watch hoof ball.

Arsenal anyone? all those complaining of lack of transfer have gone very quiet. Seems the settled squad may be the better result than lots of signings.

I think the purchase of the wonderful Mesut Ozil has also helped to calm nerves!

I am watching Major League Soccer. What a stupid name for a league. Anyway, Montreal Impact are beating Chicago Fire 1-0 at HT but Chicago have been much the better side. Expect them to get back in to this.
