22595 was in service today working a 3 to Morecambe, looks very smart after it's paint job.

At least one of the ex 12 MANs still has branding for the route.

I'm not sure if ME's Scans have indeed been fitted with Wifi but as far as I could see there was no kind of branding telling passengers wifi was available.

I think the 12 branding on MANs 22813/15/17 will be removed when they go in for service as the 12 as gone double deck and i dont think the scania's are getting wifi fitted, all that customer info on the buses is wrong.

20775 has probably been written off, after having had a disagreement with a wide load:

529443

529463

529462

From www.thewestmorlandgazette.co.uk/

Fortunately, the driver got off with only relately minor injuries.
30342 has recently arrived at Kendal, presumably as cover for the los of 20775.

From www.bus-enthusiast.com , when 30342 was with SC Merseyside.

Yep, I've just had an e-mail confirming that 20775 is going for scrap, along with Titan 11100 and several B6s.

Almost as bad as 20854 in Cambridgeshire a while back - http://www.flickr.com/search/?w=28966354@N00&q=20854 ...

Volvo olys 16650 and 16652 are at morecambe for 2 weeks due to a shortage in deckers.

To be replaced rather rapidly by 16793 and 16795

Can't be all that rapidly, as I'm guessing 16793/5 will require repaints out of MagicBus livery, and probably some attention from sitting around Manchester for a while...

Are they to just be plain blue or keep the Magic Bus branding?

Shame to have short 3s as step entrance but needs must!

Shame to have them on the 5s too.....!

Not great for access on any service but the 3 is still advertised as low floor as far as I'm aware. They could of course make the short 3 the X3 or 13 or something and advertise it a a direct Uni express but I doubt they'll bother as it's probs not worth it. I get the feeling they just want to the get the Olys out.

According to the Stagecoach website, Service 3 is guaranteed low floor, as is Service 5, but not the day time service 51, which interworks with service 5.

No guarantee is given at all

I just checked the stagecoach website, and the following services in Lancaster area are listed as being guaranteed low floor operated:- 2/2A, 3/3A, 4, 5, 5B, 5C, 6/6A, 7, 10, 40/41, 51 (Evenings & Sundays only), 89, 55C, 555.

The following services are listed as being mostly low floor :- X1, 42, 50, 55/55A, 80, 81/81A/81B, 755.

So are you saying, if I were to make a formal complaint to the Trading standards, about the use of non-low floor buses on services advised as being guaranteed low floor, that they would not take any action.

If you look on some of the individual timetables the wording is
"Low floor easy access buses are normally operated on these services, however this may not always be possible due to operational reasons". Some you have listed don't even have that on - low floor vehicles are not mentioned at all. So no guarantee there Chris.

Not heard of anything 'new' that is due. Maybe something coming in to boost capacity or something but otherwise no idea.

What have you heard?

Went on the Ribble Enthusiasts Club trip to various independents around Lancashire & Rossendale Transport using 18156, fresh out of the paintshop in Ribble livery. Here are three views –

The lads at Chorley have done a cracking job on that Vehicle, its also cost a small fortune, expect to see it out and about the area from Monday 14th Oct

I shall be in the Lake District at the end of the month and just wanted to ask what type of vehicle normally works the 508 service from Penrith on Saturdays and Sundays? I assume all services in the Lakes at weekends should be low floor.

Thanks in advance. :D

Depends what is spare to work it. Allocated a Dennis Dart both days but a B10M/B can be used on a Saturday and Sunday could be a Volvo B10M/B, Optare Solo or Dennis Dart.
