Too early to tell, but it looks as though I've had an absolute shocker (by my standards at least) in this round!

Mind you, there have been a few freaking results today which I doubt will have helped many people ....

Exact scorelines are worth 5 each.

Correct result - home win, draw, away win - is 2, but draws are always worth effectively at least 3 because you get the additional point for correct goal difference automatically.

Just paid a visit to this thread in an idle moment of wonderment, but whilst there has been much discussion on how the league programmes of countries could be affected by a change to winter of the World Cup to be held in Qatar, the far more important matter of how this will impinge upon the RailUK Prediction League seems to have been overlooked completely by the sports press...:D

Please note that due to an administrative error there will be no fixtures this weekend.

The competition restarts next week.

Apologies.

Well, it was only half my fault, so I won't. :D

Think your being overly generous there. It was more like only 5% your fault.

Sorry for the delay folks  Please send your delay-repay forms to BB21 ....

I am sorry to say that I feel I have reached the point of saying that enough is enough and giving up on Season 5. I have so much going on right now that, whilst the competition is a welcome distraction, it isn't really working in that sense and at this time that is the only reason I can justify taking part in the wake of my overall absence from the Forum of late.

Sorry :(

Sorry :(

You only have to post once a week. :)

I know, but half the time there is so much going on that allocating time to provide my entries is distracting me from things that need to be done. For instance, I might be writing an essay and then suddenly think "I still have to supply my TPL predictions", leading me on to that and almost certainly A, B, C, X, Y and Z - and away from my essay, distracting me from it completely. It just isn't working and so I have taken the conscious decision to give it a miss until the start of Season 6, by which time things will hopefully be calmer...

Speaking of which, last Summer I ran a Euro 2012 competition, and said at the time that I may do a WC 2014 compo too. If I do, I will need to be in Season 6 to keep track of everything! So I will definitely be back come the Winter - whether Brazil happens or not.

The only other thing is that I am currently undertaking a "Secret Project", whose identity is a secret to everyone on this forum bar two (one of which is my long-absent brother, who doesn't really count), and that is taking up a lot of my time...

Please note that there is no game this weekend as I didn't get round to doing the fixtures. The next round will be Tuesday 3rd December.

bb21 are you able to tell us when the remaining rounds of season 5 will be

Yes. They will all be in December, finishing midweek around New Year's Day.

They will be published as soon as I receive confirmation of the fixtures selection.

131406 Queens Park Rangers 3 - 0 AFC Bournemouth (1945) (I fear a spanking. :()

One of those weird moments tonight where you get your team's score spot-on but went away feeling really sad. :(

The results are out. We have two new champions. :D

Thank you for all your support. The new season starts this Friday.

There will be one minor amendment in the new season in that the home points bonus category will no longer be awarded. This will be replaced by a few bonus rounds during cup weekends so that the total points obtainable will still be around the same (if not more). The exact format will remain a little secret to keep your curiosity up. I will explain how it works nearer the time. ;)

The away goals bonus will remain as usual.

Please also note that if you miss the deadline, you will no longer be eligible for bonuses although you can still enter for the remaining games. This is to simplify the scoring process.

Yes, you can. No reason why not. They are two independent chains. If you wish to have two identical chains then that is perfectly fine.

Sorry folks but I seem to be in impeccable form at the moment. Luck seems to be on my side. 44 points again today by the look of things.

I think Cally has the bonuses.

My 12 goals tally wasn't too far off either, if not for Newcastle winning by 4.
