I sent a letter in the post to FGW and FCC (also some other TOCs) and they were so lazy that I received a letter back from FGW first saying they don't have any and then one from FCC with exactly the same letter, they even said FGW ticket wallet not what I asked for which was a FCC ticket wallet!

Hello,

Where can I get a ticket wallet from? I live an area where only First Great Western stations are present. I kind of have a small vendetta against First as there bus services are terrible in my local area and expensive as there is no competition.

Do CrossCountry do ticket wallets? They're my favourite TOC, they're friendly and have a nice livery for their trains so I wouldn't mind getting my hands on one of these.

Any idea how I could hold of one?

Thanks :D
I was given a ticket wallet at TM.
It isn't branded FGW, It's branded National Rail, no mention of FGW.
The back of it is a PLUSBUS advert, but no mention of First there either.

I last saw one at Newton Abbot, of the FGW ones.

I obtained a Northern/S&C one the other day in the souvenir shop at Appleby station. They are on sale on the train from the trolley iirc and come with a pen.

Received a ticket wallet from ATW, both their own brand and a standard NR included.

Writing to the TOCs customer relations and asking nicely usual does the trick.

Either they didn't have any when you wrote or you got a someone who didn't have time to deal with something like this (which lets be honest is a bit trivial). I'd suggest trying again.

I've had some perplexing results from this. Not in the sense that I didn't get what I wanted, just that there's some odd inconsistencies.

Grand Central, Hull Trains, Scotrail, Greater Anglia and South West Trains all sent me wallets - or a couple of them, with a little "With Compliments" slip. Scotrail and Hull Trains also emailed me back, and Greater Anglia actually included a short letter with theirs.

HOWEVER:

Thank you for your recent e-mail.

I am afraid that I am not aware of any ticket wallets being given out recently and I am afraid we do hold a stock here so I am unable to post you one. It may be worth checking with your local station.

Thank you for time and trouble to contact us.

I hope that's a typo!?

Unfortunately at this current moment in time we do not have any ticket wallets in our offices but if you go to any Southern station they should have some there and you can pick one up.

Northern have kept their silence.

Southern told me they had nothing, a week later the postman delivered a massive parcel with loads of stuff like pens, notepads, wallets, stopwatches and allsorts!

In short whether they had any TOC branded items especially ticket wallets.

I sent letters to a few TOCs and the only company who sent me something was Hull Trains with this magazine and some other things, I only posted to Free Post places though! haha

Not the clearest of images but here is my ticket wallet collection.

The very top left one is my favourite one, the SWT first class leather wallet. The Hull trains ones aren't shown as they are inside my Southeastern wallets. The blue NR ones aren't shown either as I have about 40 of them

Chiltern said they had no ticket wallets available but they sent me loads of other stuff.

Mastercard one I got when I purchased my Oyster card at Euston in Februrary.

They are just pieces of card with details of your name, seat number things like that which can get written on.
