There was a plan a while back to build a new toilet block on platform 1/2 but this doesn't look big enough to be that.

Hope it is a new toilet, was a nightmare with luggage the other day departing from platform 6.

( hadn't noticed the lifts)

If that's the case then it is the station rebuild that was meant to happen two years ago, and it is a toilet block.

The NSIP works started last week. There are hoardings up on the overbridge and part of the ceiling has been removed. The toilets on p1/2 are being refurbished so the shed may be something to do with that.

Nonspecific interstitial pneumonia? Is it a new ward for Milton Keynes General Hospital?

The new shed on plat 1/2 is definitely toilets. I was there on Friday and the doors are labelled as such, but were locked.

Like now but even darker as it sounds like we're losing the windows along the north side.

Not according to the drawings that I have seen. The port hole windows are retained. However there have been lots of changes over the 4 years that NSIP for MKC has been discussed and I don't know if there are later drawings than the ones that I have seen.
