Isn't that the case in real life though? Platforms are really quite small and can only just fit an 8 car 365?

Some of the platforms don't have the actual platform marker aligned with the platform section (where passengers walk) which means the doors won't open, I've fixed this myself but I shouldn't have too.

I'm going to wait till the Steam Sale until I snap up my 'local' route.

I have been waiting for this for ages, so I'll force myself to wait a little longer!

Bring on the Hitchin - Cambridge expansion! :D

12 car 365 units are common in the peak. At stations like Welwyn and Potters Bar you might struggle to fit one. But in places like Stevenage and Hitchin you can get one in, and you see them quite a lot.

I was talking more of the local stations, between Welwyn and Kings Cross which tends to be served by 313s(?).

Yea, accurate placement of platform markers doesn't seem to be RSC's forte which is odd considering they made the editor...

Seem to have great trouble getting 8 cars on at Hatfield southbound, but there is still a little room in real life. Other stations seem to be a little shorter, and yes the doors don't open even if you do stop in the right place! (How do you fix that?)

On the platforms there is a selection where people will walk. You have to click it and drag the spheres on poles to the end of the platform.

I love it the 365, it seems like it's been given tons of attention. The exterior model and texture quality is absolutely superb! The Interior isn't as good, but is still really good. It's modelled really well, with almost everything you would want. A great little unit to drive, and so satisfying speeding along at 110mph from Stevenage to Finsbury Park.

 I doubt the train be speeding at 110mph as they're only rated for 100mph ;)

Good luck trying to fit a 12 car train into these stations ;)
In real life, only Kings Cross, Finsbury Park, Stevenage, Hitchin then all stations to Peterborough can take 12 cars.

Yes, like I said, Stevenage and Hitchin are 12 car possibilities.

Yes. In fact, I'm pretty sure 365s would not work stopping service from KGX to WGC that go via Barnet, Southgate etc. They do the semi fast via Finsbury, then to Potters Bar, Hatfield and Welwyn only, but I'm pretty sure the stoppers are left to the 313/317s.

Is anyone else having massive trouble trying to run the 365 in Quick Drive mode? 80% of the time I keep getting an error every time it starts up.

Does anyone know if 365s are able to operate to Moorgate? I imagine the third rail would be an issue as IIRC the third rail equipment was removed. If they still had the 3rd rail equipment would they be able to operate down there?

365s are too big for Moorgate. They arnt even allowed into Drayton park so turn around in the cannonbury tunnel instead. Only 313s are cleared for Moorgate. 317s can run to Drayton park.

365s work semi fast peak hour trains kings x-Welwyn.

As said, only stevenage-Peterbourgh can fit 12 cars. Currently Finsbury park can on the up and down fast and down slow. They are extending the new island at forms as they measured them wrong and built them about 8meters too short to fit a 12 car...

£14.99 for the route or £17.99 with the 321 pack.........oh where did I put my Christmas funds? :D

I plumped for the pack including the 321 in the end. The Hertford loop is there in track but not scenery - I'm guessing that will be another add-on later (a la Sheerness)

Pic attached is from a free roam I created to see what Hertford North looked like. This is supposedly the down platform line (pl 2?)

On the day in question, FCC were short forming, and in spite of lacking OHLE and a power car, the carriage still moves...spooky...

I'll get it downloaded by the end of the week. I'll probably buy the 321.

Any signs of an extension at the Hitchin Junction? In fact, did they get the flyover in?

Driving London to Cambridge non-stop in a Networker would make my day! :D

I imagine (hope) that the Hertford Loop will be included in a Class 313 pack at some point, much like the Sheerness/466 Pack. 3-car Class 317 will suffice for the moment. It's probably a good thing that it wasn't originally included, as I always prefer driving on the diversionary / minor routes anyway...

Just had my first run using the AP Class 321 and I have to say its fantastic. Absolutely decimates my framerates though but its worth it for the extra immersion from the sounds and being able to control the doors from the cab :D .

Likewise!

I normally use the said route once or twice and week, and I think they've done it justice. The scenery is quite accurate and the trains are excellent. Platform Lengths are somewhat short, and the terminal at Kings Cross was a bit of a cop-out (a picture of the concourse stuck onto the walls - really?! :o) but by and large, I like the route, and it'll keep me occupied for quite some time.

Is there a Free Roam available with this route? I can't seem to access it if there is, which is a little disappointing.

No, as Quick Start is the effective replacement. Nothing to stop you setting up your own free roam though :)
