I heard it was one of the new ones which broke down at Balham on Tue Am. This, plus the dragging brakes on a 442 leaving vic later caused a meltdown.
Not sure what the issue was with the 377 though.

Indeed, 2E05 on the up slow through Balham. Brake problems too it seems.
As a 10 car 377/6 failed on the slows they routed a 10 car 377/6 onto the fast platform. Which then failed as well for both up lines blocked in the AM peak.
Oh what fun that must have been! I had wondered why another terminated on platform 4.
virtually everything into victoria on the slow lines between 07.30 and 09.00 on a weekday is a 10 car 377..... either 4+3+3 or 5+5.Planning in a morning in London to try to get as many 377/6s as possible to photograph.
Where is the best place to get them in the morning?
I am aware of the list of routes for 377/6s. I know they operate often in the peaks. I am hoping to track one down on a Saturday in June, potentially at Victoria or Clapham Junction. I am just concerned in case they are mainly just Monday-Friday.
I think I saw a 377/6 at Beckenham a Junction at the weekend. (Coincidentally Tramlink has recently introduced the newer Variobahns on its Beckenham Junction line too having previously restricted them to the Elmers End branch.)
They've visited a few places off diagram including Wimbledon so could have been one up there. Do you know what time and day you think you saw it?
I think it was between 7pm and 7:30pm on Saturday night.
Saw a pair of /6s heading north from Three Bridges just before 4pm, I assume this is just a holiday weekend rostering ?
Currently, in the December 13 - May 14 timetable, there are only 8 units out on a Saturday, but they're out all day and will pass through Clapham Junction.
Thank you for preparing me. This is quite few really, and I could face a long wait for one. I may well prefer to add one onto my next Mon-Fri central London bus trip rather than try one on a Croydon & Sutton Saturday bus trip.
I would expect class 377/7s to become Daily fare for Croydon - Milton Keynes services by around May 2015.
I saw 377 210 working with a unidentified 377/6 operating the 7:18 ECR to Victoria making a nine coach train but forgot to mention. Interesting combination.

A fair couple seem to have some door problems.. this caused a big problem at Balham a week or so ago...
The better question would be to ask "What isn't wrong with the 377/6s?"
Southern are really struggling to provide the 24 units (out of 26) required for daily service, because of so many faults with the units.
