Not looking good for Norwich, good start for Giggs, could be awkward for the Glazers if he continues like this.

More awkward for Glazer's after Rooney and Mata's press conference, where both have said how great its been working for Giggs this week, and they both said they'd like him to stay on if they had a say.

This is great news. Let Rooney and Mata keep choosing the manager and hopefully Liverpool will soon overhaul their league titles.

Player power again? I'm convinced it's the reason Villas-Boas was forced out of Chelsea, and pretty convinced it was behind Moyes's downfall too.
It seems that players that have won a lot don't like playing for managers that haven't.

Possibly.
From Giggs' press conference yesterday, he said the players have had smiles back on their faces at training this week. It was fairly obvious many of the players didn't take to Moyes' methods.

What happened, did Giggs get the hookers back in to the training sessions. Never heard anything so crazy in my entire life (Lie, its still pretty bonkers though).

Forest officially out of the playoffs, though I could have told you this a month or two ago.

A great afternoon of football.

Really, I still struggle to understand why they thought putting Brazil in charge was a good idea, even as a stop-gap measure. Forest were still in a strong position to challenge for the play-offs.

Might as well have stuck with Billy Davies.

Sorry to have to dish out a tonking so that we finish at home with a high, but it was fun reading the Forest message boards. Would rather it was not Forest though.

Thank goodness is all I can say since our survival is dependent on having three teams worse than us. Ditto with Hull getting two late goals at Craven Cottage

Also been good day for other Tameside club as Stalybridge beat Workington 2-0 and because Oxford city could only draw 1-1 it mean Stalybridge avoid relegation on last day of season. ...

Oxford City haven't been relegated - Vauxhall Motors's resignation means there are only two traditional relegation places - one taken by Workington ages ago and the other taken by Histon last week. Neither Stalybridge or Oxford were going down today.

Hyde 0...Luton Town 1

In the bottom v top fixture, the very narrow win by a solitary goal by Luton Town shows that Hyde can occasionally compete well against far superior opposition.....sometimes..

Was it Hyde playing well or Luton not caring less since they're well home and dry? ;)

Or that Luton players were all effectively on holiday already given that they had long secured their title? ;)

Oooh, just noticed you saying the same thing.

Apparently it was a very good match, with Hyde outplaying Luton for much of the first half. Luton were trying - they wanted 100 points to go with their 100 goals. The Luton fans - 2,200 out of 2,700 present - really appreciated the guard of honour provided for their team on to the pitch. A very friendly atmosphere, and the Hatters had a good day out.
Best wishes from the Hatters fans for a swift return to the Conference.

You could argue about the timing of his dismissal. I disagree Forest were in a 'strong position' though. They've been playing effectively a 'B' team for months. IMO Forest were out of the play offs even when Billy was still in charge.

A Sunderland win today will move them out of the relegation zone for the first time in many months. They are currently 2-0 up against Cardiff.

Well that result did wonders for my mood. Excellent result as it keeps the title race on and removes it from Liverpool's hands. Only need Pulis to get something v Liverpool now and of course a City win today...

Hahaha Steeeevieeeee geeeeeeeeeee

Captain thug

You could do with someone of half the stature of "Captain Thug" at Villa Park - especially with Sunderland winning today.

Well done Chelsea, I hoped Liverpool would win the title but if you don't win all the games this is what happens.

With City leading at Palace it's theres to lose now.

Perhaps there will be more twists and turns :p

Preferably one who doesn't slip either.

Indeed.......

Despite Chelsea thwarting Liverpool's title ambitions I still want them to do well in The Champions League 2nd leg as they are the sole British representative - that is sportsmanship.

Well done to Hearts turning Hibs over at Easter Road 2-1, we may be relegated and in dire financial straits but are still fighting.

I bet Terry Butcher wishes he had stayed in The Highlands with Inverness.

Indeed, about time we thumped Inverness, 6-0 sounds good, been far too long :D

Nah. He can't leave the bin dippers. He values his kneecaps too much

Anyway, when is the minutes silence for Liverpool's lost title hopes

I see Hyde got themselves a unwanted record yesterday for lowest points in season (10)

I didn't knew that so aleast Oxford city fans would be please to see Vauxhall motor to got resignation mean they didn't got relegated yesterday then.

Also well done to Chesterfield as they got promotion to League One after they beat Burton 2-0 this afternoon and also mean Chesterfield will only need to beat Fleetwood next Saturday to win League Two title too.

But with 9 to go, did Fawaz really think anyone else will be able to turn things round? Forest had been decimated by injuries this season, so Billy partly had his hands tied. I agree with what some people on Forest messageboards said though, the tactics yesterday was negative, and didn't really scream out the fact that you were a team chasing the last play-off spot.

With City leading at Palace it's theres to lose now.

With their game in hand at home against Villa, I wouldn't be so sure, depending on which Villa team turn up of course.

How did Liverpool f**k this one up?! <(

Come on mate! With everyone chatting rat about how every Liverpool fan thought we had it in the bag maybe it seemed like an easy thing to do.No sensible Liverpool fan thought it was boxed off. It was never going to be easy.

No one said it was easy, but I would have thought Liverpool players would have had more determination for silverware and that should give them an advantage over Chelsea and be enough to give them at least a point.

Still more twists to come I guess.

To give you your due, you have certainly been most careful concerning aspirations in your postings over the last couple of weeks regarding the chances of the title heading your way. No-one can accuse you of making postings from the heart rather from the head. I always give credit where it is due.
