Correct me if I'm wrong, but I reckon this is the first year since 2009 that Morecambe hasn't had new vehicles

Not sure if its my mind/imagination but I thought I read somewhere (this site?) that an X reg MAN/ALX 300 had been upgraded to full DDA status?

That is correct. ALX300 22269 X269 MTS has had a full interior refurbishment to DDA standards.

Hants & Dorset trim are currently promoting the following:-

'DDA Upgrades : Our DDA upgrades cover all aspects;

• Full certification on site
• Full push test certification provided with all new components
• All paperwork processed and supplied on completion of conversion
• Access to local certifying officer for help and advice.
• Destination upgrades
• Bus stopping sign upgrade

Experience of over 100 completed vehicles.

Most vehicles registered after 1st October 2000 are partially compliant and should only require minimal upgrade work, although all vehicles are different.
Looking at the website 'Bus lists on the web' which details dates when vehicles were first registered, I note that Stagecoach X reg MANs
22004-22008 (East Kent), 22216-22246 (Manchester), 22269-22277 (North West & Scotland), 22714-22722 (Scotland & North West) were all registered between October 2000 & January 2001, 22269 has already been upgraded, what chance the rest?

22714-22719 and the other various X reg MAN's that Perth have got should be going soon anyway when the new E300's eventually arrive, unless they keep them for some reason...

The timetable for the 78 (Keswick to Seatoller) would imply that three vehicles are used at weekends with just one during the week on schooldays (but three last week given it was half term). Are there three open-toppers at Penrith to run this? Or do they use something else in part - if so what?

It is a similar pattern at Kendal for the 599 - six NSD and weekends and 4 on schooldays. Again, are there enough open toppers for this?

from the next school year Stagecoach Gillmoss will run the School Services Arriva St Helens had, since this will increase the PVR do people think any of the Olympians at the rear of the Depot will get back out?

No, as the S-BWC Tridents will be available from Chorley due to being too old for use on TfGM schools.

Am going to be spending a lot of time on Stagecoach Lanc's and Cumbria Services over the Summer and noticed a lot of Step Entrance Single Deckers (more so the R-XVM's) are sat in Reserve or Withdrawn, whats the chances of some getting reinstated?

There's only 2 B10Ms in reserve, which are unlikely to be out in service.

Apart from those allocated into service (9 in total), the only B10Ms are for disposal and definitely won't be in service.

Cheers for the Info

Another thing worth pointing out today is that Stagecoach Rock Ferry Alexander Dennis Enviro 200 36820 is VOR with Fire Damage, seen it myself today as it was visable from the Road Side

Stagecoach are extending their 86 to Garston Village, does anyone know if this will mean extra Buses will be brought in?

Former CMT 21123 was involved into an RTA, am told someone pulled out in front of it at high speed, not sure how bad the damage is.

One thing that made me laugh yesterday was Stagecoach Chester Alexander Dennis Trident LX51 FML came into the Bus Station with X5 Sale on the Dests, it then kept changing it dests with one other Dest being *Reebok Stadium, On hire to Tyrers* and that uni 1 and uni 2 services, how come it had Greater Manchester Dests?

Id hazard a guess that it was in Manchester over the weekend to help out with Parklife - and just had all the destinations uploaded (which is probably easier than doing it selectively).
