This depends what depot you'll be based at

Hello, I am based at Shrub Hill, Worcester and start training on the 18th of August and not yet had confirmation of the training location. However both Swindon & Bristol have been mentioned.

If anyone could be of great help regarding the training I would be extremely grateful. I am training to be a Train Manager and would like to be as fully prepared as possible for when the training commences, does anybody know of any books or anything to get my head in to.

Cheers
Michael

One possible scenario-
Quite a few things will be done at Paddington, others will be done at Swindon, fire evacuation (and a couple of other things) will be done at Bristol SPM depot.

I would have thought you will be training at a mixture of the locations listed above.

My understanding is that Worcester Shrub Hill is a subsidiary Train Crew depot of Reading strangely enough and therefore it is likely you will have training at Paddington, as well as Swindon and Bristol - St. Phillips Marsh.

Induction at Paddington, rules at reading/Swindon or Bristol. Traction at Reading and Bristol.

DONT read anything or buy anything other than what they give you, it will confuse you.

TM is a guard, TM is the commercial/company name for the guards who work HSTs.

During all conversations with operations you'll refer to yourself as Guard.

Cheers very much appreciated. Will I be seeing you down at Shrub Hill?

You'll end up all over the place, but the hotels where needed are worth it :)
